OneOfHisJewels -> Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 12:06:17 AM)

Ok, as it is officially 12:01 am on the east coast, I am now doing something I always hoped I could do at least once, as I've seen this IS something members can do, and it doesn't have to be a moderator...I am starting April chat.

What was your weather like today? Ours was rainy and cloudy. April Fools! It was actually a bright sunny day here.[sm=funny.gif][sm=dance.gif][:D][:D][sm=icon_smile_cold.gif](the last one is the closest I could come to a rain smiley).

crimsonfollower -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 5:36:18 AM)

Good morning ladies!!!!!!!

Tamara- to finish our discussion from March - it sounds like he is willing to answer questions, so I would keep going by/e-mailing him to get help. He is getting paid to teach and that includes having to give explainations if needed. Have fun with all of it - I never even took chem in college though I had 3 years in high school. By my third year I was understanding less than I had the first two years. I love basic/general chem but forget the rest of it [:D]

I have been having beautiful spring weather, though technically it is "fall" here [:D] Sounds like my family is having typical spring weather for their area of the country though - storms and tornados. I will stick to my sunny, warm days thank you very much.

Off to get ready for the day!! Have a great day everybody!!

Georgia-Peach -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 7:12:27 AM)

Currently our weather is looking foggy and dreary so I am hoping as the morning progresses we get sunshine.

firefightermama -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 7:54:30 AM)

We're having rain/freezing rain today. But yesterday wasn't so bad. March came in like a Lion around here, so out like a Lamb.

Doing a few projects today, going to stock up on groceries for my mother-in-law's birthday dinner tomorrow night, then trying to buy some fabric for a sewing project, then going to the gym. Should be a fun-filled day!

then going to the gym

I want to go to a gym, but I have a feeling I would not use my membership like I should and waste the money. I should just start using the beautiful neighborhood I have and walk around the block a few times. I need to start exercising and get in shape before next kiddo comes along.

soukz8696 -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 8:49:01 AM)

Hi everyone

The weather here is foggy and dreary [:'(] Been raining for 3 or 4 days.

lexie -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 9:17:26 AM)

Happy April everyone.

The weather here is wet, but it's supposed to be something like 14C here today. It won't stay that warm but at least it will stay above 0. I'm very proud of myself because I got through my first winter without complaining about the cold (in fact, I actually defended it this year).

I'm the type of person that, I never complain about the heat in the summer, because I will be constanty complaining about the cold in the winter.

Chelle - I want to get a gym membership but I know it will just be a complete waste of money. Our community centre has one that we can use for free, but there's no childcare so I have to wait for Dh to come home from work, and by then I'm no longer motivated. So I'm all about the walking through the neighbourhood, and chasing Akeelah around the park! I definitely lost most of my weight in the summer.

stampinlady -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 9:39:53 AM)

Hey all. I'm jumping in early so as to get to know some of you better. I always want to post, but... . Anyway, it's rainy, gloomy and around 45-50. We have tickets to an outdoor soccer game on Thursday night and I'm praying it doesn't rain. BUT my spring flower are coming up so I'm happy. I must look like a nut inspecting my garden.[8D]

justjennhere -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 10:03:19 AM)

Hi, everyone!

It's sunny and warm here. A little cooler than yesterday but still short-sleeve weather.

I'm with you on the gym membership. I worry that I wouldn't use it enough to justify spending the money for it. With my little ones, I don't know how I would be able to go consistently. When they get over their most recent colds/runny noses/coughs, we're going to start running again. (Well, they won't. They do love riding in the stroller as I run, though.) Till then, it's Tae Bo videos here in the house.

uponeagleswings -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 11:25:10 AM)

The weather here is warm and sunny. That spot under my ribs still hurts most every time I cough, but I'm coughing less and less. I'm off to work in a few minutes.

DH and I have a gym membership- we were doing really well about going 3x/week, but lately life has been crazy so we haven't been good about it.

fluffmonkey -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 12:05:12 PM)

Happy April Ladies! I know when I was in high school it once snowed on April first, it was strange... but then next day it was really nice.... lol its a cloudy day here today

My church has a life center with a gym and everything and it dont cost anything to use, I used to go their and work out during the day because hardly anyone would be there except few elderly people walking but then I was unable to go during day and at night their was just to many guys... I should start working out their again lol But I was working out here at home, which I need to get back with

I've actually been a member since around Nov. 2001 and still never managed to start a chat thread. I always wanted to, but someone always beats me to it. [8D]

We are overcast today which is not good for my depression, but hopefully it'll bring some rain- which is always needed.

cherish405 -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 1:56:03 PM)

Happy April everybody.

Nicole (RIR) is due to have her baby today. I hope the birth, whether today, or some other day, all goes well.

It's been an emotional night for me. John talked to a physiologist about me and my medical conditions. She thinks that I could possibly have fibromyalgia. Will talk to the doctor about it when I see him next week.

Won't be seeing Celine Dion on my birthday. She is sick, and won't be coming to my city now until next Tuesday.

InBetweenDreams -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 2:13:00 PM)

Dangit.. I posted in our March thread this morning. Oh well... [8D]

I don't know much about that disease expect to say that I always have great respect for those who can spell it! LOL!

Seriously, I do have a cousin and two good friends who have it. They've told me that maybe I should be checked for it as well.

What a bummer! She has a pretty voice. I pray she has a speedy recovery, but is able to get the rest that she needs. It's tough for celebs to get the rest they need sometimes.

Blame it on the mods for not closing the thread. LOL! [;)]

I almost posted there myself.

How many of us can you pack in your suitcase?

Ooooh, which town are you staying in? I just brought home some travel brochures for Jamaica, but I don't think we're going any time soon. I do have it planned where we will be going though!

Beth, I think I'm just thinking about it too much... which is something I do all the time. [&:] I'll just do it and continue to ask; I just don't want him to think it's odd.. but he's rather odd himself. [8D]

My mom has it. [8|] But I guess it's so murky (as far as diagnosis) that it took her a while to be diagnosed although she's been hurting all the time. I gave her some of my meds for her to try, but she says they don't help her (they give the same thing for vulvodynia and fibromyalgia sometimes). [&:]

BrowneyedAL -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 5:37:03 PM)

Trish...I've been 'unofficially' diagnoised that way. I say unofficially because I wasn't ever actually a patient of the doctor who made the diagnosis. It was a doctor I worked closely with who essentially told me that I could 'benefit from being treated for fibromyalgia' and gave me some samples and told me if I tried them and they helped to let him know and write me a script...but then followed that statement by saying he knew better than to think I'd actually listen to him. I have to shamefully admit to being stubborn when it comes to medical intervention. I pretty well have to have something literally fall off me before I'll see a dr...and even then I'm not likely to take anything they prescribe.

It covers a wide variety of some generalized symptoms. Even if when you see a doctor for evaluation they do come to that conclusion, try to bear in mind that it is treatable.

RepentanceIsRequired -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 5:39:04 PM)

Hi Trish! No baby yet; still cookin!

nicole6598 -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 5:52:33 PM)

Praying for you Nicole (RIR)

Aww Trish, I hope they can find an answer to what is wrong so you can know what to do. Too bad about Celine, you still get to go though don't you? I didn't even know she was in the country! She is awesome!

I am tired, Nathaniel doesn't go down properly til like midnight and then wakes most of the night, its hard work going on limited sleep!! But hubby was real sweet again this morning before he left for work at 5am he came and kissed me while I was feeding [:)]

We had a scare last night, his brother called at like 11pm lots of times, we thought he was ringing to have a go at hubby about their other brother. Our pastor has asked the other brother and his wife (the SIL that I love, whose family is here where we are) to come and train to be youth pastors at our church (my SIL's home church, they moved a yr ago to be with hubby's family and it sucks!) so we thought the older brother who thinks he is allowed to tell everyone what to do and that me and hubby are disobeying God because we won't move there too (God hasnt told us to move!!) was ringing to have a go at hubby. But it was only about a stupid car that was broken down [8|] we breathed a sigh of relief though!!

BrowneyedAL -> RE: Showers of blessing, April chat. (4/1/2008 5:52:46 PM)

BTW...forgot to mention...I am SOOOO jealous Diane (but really happy for you too!) I REALLY need a vacation, and so does hubby. We were talking today about trying to schedule one...but with his Admin Assistant/HR person out following a hysterectomy until May he can't really go until she gets back because he's been doing his duties as well as hers...and right now I'm one leasing consultant short (we're supposed to have 3 but only have 2 but we're looking to hire) which I could still manage to take a few days right now...the problem is that one of the 2 remaining experienced ones is pregnant and due about the time DH's help is due back in the office...and then there's no way I could leave with 1 new person and only 1 experienced person in the busy leasing season...so it's looking like we're out into the end of June or so at best[:(]
