Here is the burning question though....

Oohh...I am making up for slacking this morning....let's see, I've got:

Chocolate chip cookies
Peanut butter cookies

Rice krispy treats dipped in chocolate
Sugar cookies shaped like circles
coconut macaroons
and
peppermint bark (it's not just for Christmas, you know!)

ENJOY!

Mmmm... think I'll take one each of those. (All things in moderation!)

There's a roach smiley? That would have come in handy for when Tink was relating her, ah, wildlife difficulties to us.

Haven't had funnel cake in ages! Sure they have it every year at the County Fair, but I never have room after the pie!

Mmmmm... Fair Pie...

My daughter has watched that movie about 10 times since Easter(she got it in her basket) and I still shudder when I see the roaches. I don't think I will ever become desensitized to roaches. The rats are gross too. ewww.

I just baked some virtual Snickerdoodles for everyone (practically the only kind I have time for the last couple years). Here, have one...or two or three.

Those are my absolute favorites, my grandma made the best ones ever!

Hey Robb;

I have those days when the cloud is hanging over my bed when I get up in the morning. Sometimes it's hard to shake!

I'll pray 'specially for you today, ok?

And now...

Exeunt Stage Right!!...to work on my Math formula page in preparation for College Algebra Exam to take place tomorrow. I have to work today, too...somehow I don't believe my music students wouldn't think it a very good April Fools Joke to have their teacher not show up because she's too busy posting on this forum!

If it is an old recipe and you have a great story to go with it, we might want to put it in our next cookbook. If that interests you you can PM me.

I have never seen it. If its a kids movie, I really only see it if my kids show an interest.

I have a love hate relationship with county fairs. I love to go but hate what they do to my waist line.

I stored the boat at the county fairgrounds for teh winter. So wehn I go to pick it up the tummy starts screaming for elephant ears and funnel cakes and roasted corn and on and on.

I'm still smelling fair food.

Popping in to spur the discussion on before heading out for work...

Ok, so someone over on Narniaweb pulled a great joke and I fell for it...hook, line and sinker (I'm really good at that. If it brings you joy, you may pull pranks on me).

But it got me to thinking about a really old movie by that title: Hook Line and Sinker...Jerry Lewis was in it.

I remember thinking it was the funniest thing I'd ever seen back when I was...whatever. 12? 15? 9? The movie, I think, was in black and white--either that or our tv at the time was still in black and white.

I remember nothing about the movie except that Jerry Lewis fell into a pool at one point.

Does anyone remember that movie, and was it as funny as I remember?

I don't remember the names of his movies I just remember loving him, especially in the Dean Martan years. I have not seen a JL movie in years. I'll have to watch for them on TCM.

I just saw it for the first time last week. Your kids would, indeed, enjoy it--it's funny, if somewhat agenda driven. But if you don't like rats or roaches, I wouldn't suggest it...

I hate days were I have an overwhelming amount of work to do and I just don't feel like doing it. I hate it that I have that option. It would be so much easier if I knew the boss could walk by any minute, that would keep me on task, and off of here.

Cartoon ones don't bother me. The ones in Enchanted are made to look realistic and they did a pretty good job. (shudders)
