I'm just in a mood I guess. Listening to youtube oldies (You people have ruined sleep for me, as if I needed another excuse!). Dan Fogleberg "Another Auld Lang syne" followed by Hary Chapin "taxi" Started the evening with Weird Al Yankovich. (Michael Jackson should still be paying him. Weird Al made MJ)

That is an interesting playlist.

I don't think that he was.

I remember back in the 80's, girls thinking that I was strange for being into "Weird Al" Yankovic. Come 25 years later and he is an icon!

Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps

This was one of my favorite songs growing up.

Great song! Have you ever heard the John Lennon version?

Speech is fun! You might be surprised how much you enjoy it.

Speech can be a blast! Just be creative and have fun and remember that the audience doesn't have a clue what you are supposed to say so anything you say is exactly correct.

He was a typical 70's folk-ballad singer.

I liked his Christmas song where he met the old girlfriend.

Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps

Wow! I didn't know he covered it. I still prefer Gene's version. His voice fits the songs better. The only thing with his music is that it starts to sound the same after the third or fourth song. Pretty limited.

I remember driving to Florida with the family a few summers ago. It was late, and my dad and brother finally gave in to my whining and let me drive. Dad and I sat in the front listening to and singing along with my Gene Vincent cd. :)

He recorded a whole album of 50's songs in the mid 70's. Stand By Me is a standout.

closing out the night with Kansas "dust in the wind"

A blessed good night to all.

I've got to get into work early tomorrow so I can get off in time to sign the Girl up for softball for summer. She's so incredibly multi-talented. (Get's most of it from her mommy)

It's one of many special memories.

It was fun until my dad and brother started making fun of the classical piece I played after that. No one's safe in my family!

Ten minutes until the boot kick...

LOL, sounds like one of those families that like to smash special moments to pieces.

Now how did The Logical Song become so popular? It was big when it was first released, and then never seemed to go away.

I never liked Supertramp that much. It always sounded like children's music to me for some reason.
