Nope - I am saying that there is a difference between presumption and faith. I believe. God is good.

And I maintain that a presumptive believe that the Word of God is true is a correct presumtion.

And evidently you put man's thinking and earned knowlledge aboue the Word of God.

MrFribbles - No you don't ignore any Scripture. But if it is Jesus, the Lord, God,Savior and Messiah saying something you better really pay attention because it's God Himself speaking and you have no authority to change what is written or you will suffer the consequences. Him4all - Yes God knows everything but He loves to hear His children's voices so He can bless them. He loves when we exercise our faith and come to Him believing that He can answer our prayers. A rebellious sinner though He doesn't hear. What a grand privilege to serve the God who hears and cares. Myron, preachermyron@yahoo.com

Him4all - A Word of encouragement my brother. I have some personal things that I've sought the Lord for and am still waiting on an answer. Remember that sometims a silence by God does not mean that an answer won't be forthcoming. My pastor always reminds us that "Delay is not denial." We must patienly wait on Him and He will answer in His time and His way. His way is always the very best way. Another thing pastor teaches us is PUSH or Pray Until Something Happens. See, you're doing it again. To me, it seems like you're elevating the words of Christ above other Scripture. God Himself is speaking through every word of Scripture, not just the "letters in red." Nobody has authority to change any Scripture, period.
And belief about miracles, healing, etc. (or any doctrinal issue, I suppose) should be viewed from the whole scope of Scripture, and not just the words of Christ. And the words of Christ, though certainly a key part of the Christian understanding, should not be elevated above the teachings of the Apostles, or, when properly interpreted, the truths found in the Old Testament.

The Bible says that Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever - that He is the Lord, and He does not change. And part of His nature is revealed through His names. One of the names of God is Jehovah-Rophe - The Lord Who Heals us. That, and the great commission that Jesus gave to His disciples in Mark 16:15-20 - go into all the world and preach the Gospel and heal sick - seems so simply and plainly to indicate that healing and miracles still take place today. Yes, there are those whose teachings are out of balance on this topic (much of the word-faith preaching seen in televangelists), but don't throw the baby out with the bath water because of abuses that have happened in the name of the supernatural! Our God is a miracle-working God, and He still heals the sick today!

If you go HERE, you will find four devotionals on "15 Biblical Reasons why Healing is God's Will Today." I encourage you to check it out, and give some feedback on it, and let's discuss it more in depth here! And in your responses, to those of you who disagree with my position, I would love to see some of your Scripture reasons why you don't believe that God still heals today. Blessings!

Well, He did change in the physical sense. The scripture is speaking to the spiritual, not physical. Healing of illness involves the physical.
