Please help me at work Lord.
Today, yet again, I asked 3-4 people to go to lunch.
I must be turning into something very undesireable to have never yet had lunch with anyone.
God, I need fellowship.

Lord, I pray for PW now. I pray You would bless her. Encourage her and minister to her. Help her to feel Your presence as she works and help her to find favor with her boss and coworkers. Give her patience, Lord and help her light to shine bright for You as she works. Comfort her and strengthen her Lord.

Nan, I'm so sorry about the lunch thing. Is this office in a larger building? Could you seek out other Christians for a lunch time study of some sort? Maybe a Beth Moore study?
Praying for the Lord to bring you a wonderful lunchtime friend. Maybe there's another widow in the building who is also alone ....... Maybe she's praying for someone like YOU.
Call the counselor and outright ask his prices. Your insurance might cover it??

Prayer Warrior,
Some of my favorite lunches have been ones in which I took my bible and notebook and sat in a booth somewhere and wrote my favorite scriptures or a letter to Jesus... just me and Jesus at lunch. I go back to work refreshed and ready to face the remainder of the day.
I'm divorced- 5 years now. And don't have any problems going to lunch alone- because it gives me even more time with the one who loves me most of all... Jesus.
I pray you feel His comforting arms about you, His peace surround you, His joy fill you. He will turn your mourning into joy - your sorrow into dancing... give yourself time to grieve... it's a normal natural stage. Talk to your pastor or a counselor- it doesn't mean you are weak or cannot handle this time- but that you recognize that sometimes God brings others to help encourage us and help us.

Yes, yesterday, I went to lunch, bought socks, and either wrote or read something.
I have two books calling to me. God Meant it for Good, by RT Kendall.
And a new one by Alistair Blair.
I think my prayers I need the most are simple energy and clear thinking. I am truly physically exhausted, and wish I had picked a much smaller office, which I thought would be boring. I was totally wrong. This office, with 10 nurses, 8 doctors, 4 triage phones which never stop ringing, etc., is truly almost beyond my capacity. I can't quit. I am asking for prayers for joy and strength, and hopefully can transfer later. The small office is filled now, and I can't transfer for a minimun of 3 months to anything.
Please pray for my joyful endurance. This is very stressful, and having time to mourn? would be a luxury.
Like anyone else, I need funds and insurance.
I appreciate EVERY SINGLE PRAYER.
VERY MUCH.

Please help PW to manage this stress...to function smoothly, calmly and efficiently...even though all around her is the clamor of ringing phones...in an office with 10 nurses and 8 doctors. Help her in every way that you see she needs help. Thank you for the job, but may it turn out to be wonderful instead of stressful. We pray this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.

I am in LOVE with God.
Nothing has changed, but He will see me thru this loneliness, this pain, this horror of losing Bob.
I love him so much.
Yesterday the worst dr. there came up because I was on the phone out in the dr 'area', where everyone could hear me.
He said, Nurse Nancy, you are entirely too nice on the phone.
But he was actually SMILING.
I smiled up and said, "I just like people, Dr. ___"
The very truly sad thing is, the office is in great chaos, needs help, and often no one know the
answer I am seeking...on the spot while patient's are waiting. People call in, don't show up, take days off and come back (should probably be let go, as you don't know if they are even still alive, and then they show back up without calling at all! Gracious sakes alive!!!!! We have a sweet manager, but who could handle all of this craziness?? She is fairly new herself!!!
Last night it took me at least 30 min. to find an answer (which I never really did) before I could give a patient a certain immunization!!!!!
Wow. I walked in his room and smiled and said "I am so sorry, but I had to walk to Chicago to get your med"
Well he and his wife immediately started laughing and that ended all of the tension!!!
BUT I LOVE GOD. I want to state that , and shout it loud and clear. I do beg him to show me his wonderful plan. He has one for me. And I do know it is not lost in chaos, when I myself do not know the answers....
Very tough as the pace is approximately 70 miles per hour around curvers in TN. What I mean is, there is no down time, and you watch watch watch phones, inbasket messages, high priority stuff, triage, give immunization for your assigned docs all take, do the nurse visits, and check TB results, write letters on the spot regarding them, etc etc etc.....Can you imagine? And I have been in the actual office 2 weeks.
Talk about being thrown in!!!
I just want to do it all RIGHT...CORRECTLY....SAFELY.....PERFECTLY....
Phew.
PLEASE pray for me as the weekend is a haven and a heartbreak. I need to be off work and then suddenly, the silence of the house looms forth.
I love you all, and just wanted to give you a REAL update.
