We're not all going to agree with each other. After all, this is a discussion forum. Chadoaksfan, I hope you'll be able to see the Booth Brothers again and perhaps you'll get a different impression. Meanwhile, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. Tact and diplomacy do go a long way here to keep the peace during our discussions! And we try to keep in mind that the artists also visit and read these forums.

It is well known that Michael Booth frequents the forums as well as others. They may not post but they do read them.

Has anybody heard the new song Michael sings " The Secret Place" written by Steve and Annie Chapman. WOW!! This song is totally awesome, I got this this week from Steve. We were grateful that Michael recorded "The Secret Place." We're getting requests for the lyrics and reports about how the song has been used in people's lives. What a blessing that he would choose to use the song. Great song writers, great words, and great singers, The Booth Brothers!!

Oh...I love that song...I heard it the first time when we went to see them at the Mull Singing back in June...it blew me away. I again heard it couple of weeks ago at Hoofer's in LaGrange, GA and again it was awesome. I had to buy his solo cd at the Mull Singing. The whole cd is fantastic. I can understand why the writers of that song are getting constant requests for it.

Ronnie and Michael both have fabulous solo CD's. I love them both! And the Tribute to Elvis CD that features Ronnie is great, too.

You guys misread my post. I am trying to say that they, the Booth Brothers, from their own mouths, said that they are most commonly associated with Southern Gospel, implying that they do not necessarly want to be labeled a Southern Gospel group. Furthermore, they spent too much time singing non-Southern Gospel songs, such as love songs. And to further prove my point, I bought a Booth Brothers CD through the mail, and it came with a sticker on it saying "if you like Rascal Flats and 4 Him, you'll love this". Now why would they put that on there if they only desire to be a Southern Gospel group? Edited TOS 6

Ok...my final word on this...I'd like to keep my bloodpressure where it belongs. Chad...I don't believe for a minute that their comment about being associated with Southern Gospel does not imply they don't want to be. There are a lot of groups out there who sing "non" Southern Gospel songs...that's fine with me. Some folks are purists and others like myself aren't. I've ordered most of their cds I own from their office and not one has arrived with a sticker on it like the one you described. Did you order it from their office or some other source? Sounds to me that it came from another source which they don't have control over. I'm sorry you came away with this negative opinion of them and hope you can give them another try sometime. Yes...I'm biased but everyone has their favorites and their least favorites. On to more pleasant things...

In the original post I don't believe that he said anything too blunt or rude. I have heard a lot of people, including myself say how they think a certain artist may come across as too showy. That is an opinion that each of us has the right to come to on our own. I have said the same thing about the Booth Brothers after watching them on DVD. Now, on the other hand I love listening to them on CD. They have great harmony and are funny, which keeps it interesting. I am just one who doesn't care for too much show...I don't like to "watch" Signature Sound but I like to listen to them. To each his own. Now, on the second post I think the poster took the replies a little too personal. I have learned to keep my mouth shut when I have personal feelings rising up. I've been warned a couple of times about that. There are too many fans of too may groups to be able to talk too much trash on here and get off too easy...is that enough "toos" for ya? LOL

I bought that CD with the sticker at a Gaither Homecoming directly from the BB table. I only liked a couple songs from it, the others were very much not BBs, just didn't appeal to me. I love those guys dearly, some of the most genuine folks you will ever meet. Whenever you see them at a concert, it seams like they have known you for years. chadoaksfan, buy some other BB projects before you for an opinion. Try Pure Southern Gospel, the CDs with the hymns...

Edited TOS 6 I respect your opinion but my question is why does a group have to only appeal to one set of folks. I love Southern Gospel music but I am not going to not listen to groups who may push the envelope a bit. I am sure you don't mind that either considering you are an Oak Ridge Boys fan (I am also). You talk to any group in Southern Gospel and I guarantee most will tell you they listen to other forms of music and sometimes even find inspiration for writing and arranging their songs from other styles.

Yes...I agree...it really shows how talented Jim Brady is! He wrote/co-wrote 9 of the 11 songs.

Let me clarify, the reason I really didn't like most of the CD, the music track was just too intense. The words were never lacking, just didn't like the music. But, The Blind man Saw It All will always be one of my favorite songs!!!
