A question for the "rockers" on the board: Does anyone have or have heard Robert Plant's "Manic Nirvana" album? I've been slowly picking up his solo albums one by one, and this is the only one I don't have.

On a side note, I did finally receive my Black Sabbath box set and must say that it's quite good. I haven't heard songs like "She's Gone", "Never Say Die" and "Fluff" in at least 20 years. Couldn't beat the price either (8 discs for $60.00).

As for the Plant album...worth getting, or skip this one?

Input welcome, as always!

Lem:
That's always been one of my favorite Plant albums - maybe even better than Now & Zen to my ears (and that's saying something). If you can get it for a decent price, I'd say go for it. It's been remastered in the past few years, but I haven't upgraded my copy so I don't know anything about "bonus" tracks or the like.

I saw the Sabbath box in a store today for $65 (used). I was quite tempted, but have some bills to pay, so it'll have to wait. "Fluff" is one of my all time favorite instrumentals!

Thanks for the review! I will pick it up at some point!

By the way, one CD I never seem to see is "The Honeydrippers" EP...is that something you can only get as part of his boxed set? (I didn't buy the box set since I had several of the re-mastered albums already.)

The last Plant albums I bought were "Shaken And Stirred" and "Fate Of Nations". "Stirred" is just OK...more like '80s synthesizer dance club music, but "Fate" is excellent musically.

Blessings, and have a great evening!

Ol' Blind Lemon
