Eliana is in the 3-way race of the ladies due next week...

Whose baby will come first?

IamJulie is due the 21st.
Eliana is due the 22nd.
Dance4Joy (Emily) is due the 23rd.

Vote and then post here to cheer Eliana on and to congratulate once the baby is here!

Donna is this their first babies? If not, did the others come on time? Not that it matters, but it might :)

Hang in there Eliana, not long to go! God bless!

Well this is my third baby. #1 was induced at two weeks late (was 0 dilated) and #2 was induced at ten days late (was 4 cm for a week before that) but I went into labor the night before (made no progress but at least it was something). Except for starting contractions the night before with #2 I never had any signs of going on my own. With this one I am having some contracting off an on so who knows??? Also was a fingertip at last appointment, I know that doesn't really mean anything...

Awww....nice surprise! Thanks all. :-)

No, pregnancy brain isn't to blame -- I don't think I've posted much of that info! OK, stats...

Age: 33
Baby: First!
Gender: Boy
Birthplace: Hospital's birthing centre
EDD: April 22
Head engaged: Yes, from at least March 17
Fundal measurement: 36cm
Foetal heartrate: 138

That's all I can think of for now...No idea how dilated I am because they don't seem to take those sorts of measurements routinely at prenatal appointments here. My midwife has never mentioned it. I've got an appointment today so I can update the stats with fundal measurement, etc.

Thanks once again! Would love to vote for myself, but I have a feeling Emily will be first.

(ETA more stats)

Eliana:

I wish I knew more Norwegian so I could post some for you. My sister majored in Nordic Studies in college and she is pretty much fluent in Norsk.

I pray you will have a safe delivery and that you feel the Lord's presence with you as you and your husband welcome your little one to the world.

Ha det bra,
Jeanie

I think you'll all be pretty close, but I voted for Julie because this is her third baby. Wouldn't it be cool if you all had the little ones on the same day?!

That would be super-cool!

I heard today that a lady from church, who was due on the 24th, had her baby yesterday. I know it's irrational, but I felt like she got to sneak past me to the finish line! To make matters worse, my husband keeps saying nasty, evil things like "You could be pregnant into May". The sensible part of me knows that this baby will take as long as he needs, and I'm doing my best to be contented with that.

Was tempted to vote for Eliana just to be different, but had to go with Julie b/c of her contractions last night!

Eliana, you'll be in my prayers too! (I think you should smack your husband.) LOL!

Eliana - it's soon, anyways!!! My midwives don't do internal exams either, so you're not the only one! You're right though - your little boy will take all the time he needs - no more, no less! I'm sure he'll be here before you know it!

OK, things have been happening. I've finally started getting the kind of contractions you can feel, as opposed to the ones I've had up to now, where my tummy gets hard but with no other sensation. Now they feel like period cramps in front and in my back.

And (sorry for TMI) last night after going to the toilet when I wiped, the mucus was pink. This morning I saw some definite traces of red blood in it. I know it could still be some time, but at least I know that there is progress!
