Good morning! Got your own thread, woot, woot! Now you can sew all you want. Decoratin's looking good. Can we bring goodies or will it mess up your color scheme?

I'd tackle you this morning James but I'm a little stiff from yesterday... Good morning anyway!

I'm a little stiff today too. My knees are telling me to expect rain tomorrow.

It's not raining here but it's sure gotten chilly! Here I take off work to get spring stuff done around the yard and what happens? The weather goes south... I can't spray roundup, I can't repaint the trim around my doors, I need to mow the lawn, but I don't feel like it... I did get flowers planted yesterday, but that's pretty much it...

By the way, anyone like removing trees? I have a cherry tree in the front yard that I want taken out...

It's a pest magnet... Plus, I don't want to mess with getting someone to spray it, pruning it, etc. I never wanted a fruit tree, but guess what the only tree was when I bought this house? I'm going to plant another tree there (I'm leaning towards a redbud) - but in order to do that, I need the cherry tree gone...

Redbud? Ah, one of my favorite trees, and there are tons of them growing wild in this part of the state....so pretty!

I'd never seen one before, but when I was telling the lady at the nursery what I wanted, that was one of the trees she recommended. I really fell in love with them! Wow! So pretty!

Yeah, and even pretty when they aren't blooming. Heart shaped leaves, y'know? And they just overlap with the dogwood, bloom-wise. When it's all in bloom, you couldn't ask for anything more lovely.

That's why I like them. Very unique. I like unique (I know that may come as a shock to some folks... hehehehe!). One thing I told the lady at the nursery was I didn't want a tree with red leaves. Why? Because my neighbors have red trees and I want to be different.

Well, that's a relief. I don't WANT to be like everyone else! If I was, it'd be boring!

When we first bought this house, one of the first tasks was to cut down a mulberry tree. It was right near the back deck and made a mess of things. Plus the birds ate the berries and...well...you can imagine.
