Ignited-Faith -> Do you ever Prayer Walk? (4/16/2008 2:14:21 PM)

I just want to share what a blessing it is to Prayer Walk! When my friend and I get together, we share what the Lord is doing in our lives, we pray, and we also Prayer Walk. I am amazed how God answers Prayers!
Does anyone else Prayer Walk, or have you ever thought about doing it?

We had a short discussion a while back on it HERE.

Thank you Ben, I checked it out!
Very refreshing!

"Pray without ceasing."

I pray ride. I just got back. The weather was a "10" and I am invigorated from the mountain bike ride/prayer time. This world is so beautiful!

The first person that I ever met in my current neighborhood was a man that pounded on my door demanding to be let in. He was drunk and had the wrong house. He lived two doors away. Later, we stayed in the same neighborhood; but, several blocks away.

20 years later I felt God asking me to pray for each house that I passed on my walk with a simple, "Lord, bless the people in this house and call them to yourself." Of course, I never knew the outcome of any of these prayers until more than a year later. I saw my former neighbor and went over to talk with him. The first words out of his mouth were praising God for such a beautiful evening. I was totally shocked! He had flipped on a television program and accepted the Lord and it completely changed his life. It was a true miracle.

From that point on I have been an avid lover of prayer walks. I don't know if my prayers had anything to do with his conversion; but, if he could be saved then every one of my neighbors can find the joy that he found!

Thanks for bringing this subject up.

Wow, this is a great idea. I normally pray during my runs, but most of my prayers are about me, or about the people I know. I think this is a good way to spend my prayer time. I'll pray for every name that pops into my mind during my run, and everyone that I chat with or say hello to.

I just thougth of something. I'll do a thank you run where I'll thank God for everything that I can think of during the run. It might help me develop a grateful attitude.

I'm actually looking forward to doing this prayer runs!
