plummwise -> Am I super mom? I sure dont feel like it. (4/19/2008 5:47:03 PM)

There are many things in my life I am so thankful for. I am certain I am married to the man God has prepared me for and prepared for me and we have three beautiful kids I am ever so grateful. Of late cant help but feel like am a single parent who stays @ home.I hold down the fort while he goes off to work.He multi tasks and seems to be unclear as to when one day ends and another begins. Sure he is involved in ministry fulltime while studying but he cant cancel out quality family time. As hard as I may try I could never be dad.Am at a place now where I am beginning to worry about his relationship with God he seems to be too busy with His work to find time for Him. Husband is very defensive and I hate to argue so I have resorted to avoiding irritating him but even when I dont try I annoy and irritate it seems. Even writing about it frustrates me what ever should I do[sm=comp1.gif]. This is not everything but all I can say just now. Anyone ?....Is there a supermom out there?

welcome to the forums!!!!

We have a few threads here that might interest you.....
you said you were in ministry but you may still get something out of this thread "Surviving Our Spiritual Mismatch".(<--link)
we also have a thread for SAHM's Support and Encouragement.(<--link)
If you need a place to talk about daily life and all the things you do at home (cleaning, or daily tasks etc) we have the Daily Life thread(<--link)....it's more for us that need a place to be accountable so that we get our list done every day....but it definitely helps us to see that none of us have achieved SUPERMOM status yet!!!
All of those threads are "chat style" meaning you don't have to read the whole thing to join in at the end...just jump right on in.

Hi Super Mom[:D],

I've been a newbie too, for a month now. Welcome to the board.

Being a pastor's wife and mom too, may I encourage you! We are our husband's helpmate, not the Holy Spirit. [;)] That means when you see these things, like lack of time for a quiet time, don't try and correct him. That will irritate him. I know, I've done that too![;)] Along time ago thank goodness.
My husband has slowly changed, with God's help. The best thing that I can recommend to you is to pray for him. When he goes to work, you can even place your hand upon his pillow and ask the Lord to strengthen him and cause him to be hungry for more of the Him. Ask the Lord to help your husband. Bless him with scriptures that will raise him up. In private declare who your husband is. A faithful man who daily seeks the Lord! Things like that! Do it in secret and watch what God will do for your man!

You are a super mom! Sometimes we don't feel like it, but we can encourage one another.

God bless you!

Lori
