my dad used to smoke. more than just cigarettes, though i wont go into that right now. basically mom said she'd never kiss him again if he didn't quit, so he did [8D] smart lady.

most of my extended family smokes though, so i'm pretty used to it, though i don't condone it. like everyone else said, waste of money and makes you age etc etc etc.

Yep. My parents STILL smoke. But my mom says if my brother and I ever do, she'll never forgive us.

Personally, I've been "persecuted" too much just for my parents' habit. I lost my old job because I smelled like smoke. And "good Christian parents" tend not to let their kids do stuff with me. Or maybe i'm just um... too blunt for them.

I don't see what the attraction is. I think it's bad for your health and a nasty habit, but I'm not going to condemn someone for doing it.

A high quality cigar smells and tastes good. And you don't inhale them. So, if you just have one on occasion, the health-factor really isn't so great. Much less than if you eat fast food once a week. . .
