I have some modest proposals on how to celebrate Earth Day

  • Rent a Hummer
  • Burn algore in effigy
  • Go on a polar bear hunt; extra points for bagging a cub

Witness to those who are lost. Do what Tony Campollo wrote about "How To Save The Earth Without Worshiping Nature."

We can save the earth without moving back into caves...right?

Well except those liberals. They will all live in castles...as befit their superiority.

It.....really.....IS....that.....foolish.

I say we celebrate on Sunday at church as we worship the creator, not creation. Thank him for the earth, and to help us do his will by being good stewards of his gift.

I say the next time a wild fire breaks out we just...let it burn.

You know us evil humans and our interference in nature....right?

Well I am conservative, and this earth thing seems to be mostly a liberal cause. I recycle, pain in the keester, but feel convicted to do so. My liberal friends do not, for the most part. I will not by a hybrid co car, ugly, plus alot of problems. I want a new PT crusier ( candy apple red). I use mostly the funny looking light bulbs, unless I am out us the regular. I do think because God is the creator within reason, we should be good stewards, nothing wrong with that. In Romans it talks about how someone who has never heard of Christ, looks, at the beauty of nature and recieves the light of God, and when he recieves that light, he is given more. Creation plays an important part. satan himself did not create it, but God. We humans are part of creation also, likewise the animals our flowers, the air. I wonder if we cannot see the beauty of the creators creation can we really believe in him. That being said, some earth fanatics worship " Mother nature" instead of the creator himself. Why do people become so unbalnced, in these things.

I was raised in a rural area where we took our garbage to the dump ourselves. I think it was in the late 70's they started recycling so we had been doing that for a while before it became...popular.

Their biggest money maker? Not copper. Not glass. Cardboard. Just plain ol' cardboard.

They would ask us to put our magazines and news papers in paper bags and a local farmer would chop up the paper and use it for bedding.

My dad loves going to the dump and talking to the old guys there. If you ever went with him be prepared to spend some time there

The dump ground is kind of neat is its own stinky way.

We just bought a new PT Cruiser - not candy apple red - plain vanilla, but it's a great little car. Scoots right along, gets good gas mileage, and didn't put us serious debt. I'd recommend one.

I covet, LOL, your color is my second choice. I always thought they were special, and economical. Funny story we will pretend has to do with earth day. Last night coming home from church. My husband ask if I had my heart set on Candy Apple Red. I said well, no I could deal with vanilla very well. I said just make sure whatever , If iti is red make sure does not have flames on the side. He laughed, at that moment a candy aple Red PT, pulled up beside us with flames.

NO COVETING!! Bad! Bad! [;)] And, no flames! I wanted to have it done up like a woodie," you know the old stationwagons with wood panels on the sides. Probably really expensive, though...............so I'll settle for my "plain vanilla" PT.

Anyone who doesn't want to drive a '65 Mustang is satanic. Its one of those christian tells....

and of course to keep this post on topic, it must be a V-8, gas guzzling polluter.
