We get that response a lot.[sm=aside.gif]

Good afternoon! Happy Father's Day Kerr!

Kerrlaw -> RE: Kerrlaw Convenes Court (6/15/2008 5:14:14 PM)

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE FATHER'S DAY WISHES.

We have had an interesting Father's Day.

After going our with friends, and driving thruugh Gatlinburg, we got into bed about 11:45 p.m. About 1:00 a.m. we were awakened by a ruckus next door. Our former neighbors moved to their lake house about a year ago and rented out their home to a family with four little children, four cats, and two little dogs, all of whom were allowed to run wild. The children played in the street, the dogs killed three of the kittens, and they let the dogs run freely, in violation of the leash laws, to pee and poop in our yard, and even on our porch. Still, we liked having them live there better than we liked the former neighbors living there, which might tell you something.

The renters moved the children out about two weeks ago, and appeared to be gradually moving out. They were apparently finishing the moving late last night when the owners showed up and the trouble began. At one point the two women were in a fist fight. There were four policemen on the scene, which did not stop the yelling and cussing. Two of the officers stayed until the renters finished loading up and left.

We minded our own business (can you tell my sympathies are with the renters), but because of the noise could not get to sleep until about 4:00 a.m.. Oh, Cindy's son text messaged her about 2:00 a.m., so she called him and we both talked to him for a while about a problem he was having. So we ended up sleeping very little.

We had breakfast at Cracker Barrel this afternoon and took a Baptist nap while watching On Golden Pond, so it has been a nice afternoon.

Same to you Dude. You are more active in the fathering department than I.

Hope the sermon went well. I assume that you have posted it somewhere, and I will read about it.

The sign in your avatar is great. I have seen it somewhere, but in the avatar picture you can't see the bottom line, which I think is something like "Bridge Out Ahead" in small letters.[sm=aside.gif]

My goodness.... That does sound like an interesting night!

I was actually waiting until someone asked... I posted in PFY that it was less than a half hour (which I'm sure was a good idea...)
My sermon title was, "Remember who your Father is."

You're my kind of preacher.

We can't let the Methodists beat us to Cracker Barrel.[sm=car.gif]

As a friend of mine (who's also a preacher) said, "Never make people happy twice. Happy you started preaching and happy you finally stopped."[:D]

And if I'm your kind of preacher, put in a word for me at your church.[;)]

I looked at the original picture. You are correct. "Also the bridge is out ahead."[8|]

Wow, We can hope that the new neighbors are an elderly couple with goldfish.

My pastor gives out fill in the blank sermon notes. And he will cut it off in mid-sermon if he goes past noon.

Edited to fix the quote box.

Let's pray for that.

Mrs. K thinks that we should buy the house for an investment so we could control who lives there. The problem is that the owners think the house is worth about twice what it really is.

Kerr, I didn't mean to offend. I was just letting ya know that i'm leaving town for a bit.

I'm nondenominational... But I'm looking to be a guest speaker... not a pastor...
God has called me to an evangelical ministry.

I'm glad your day got better as it went along.[:D]
