another few I think works is Arise My Love by Imperials. Newsong did it but Imperials do it great. another is a twofer by Bishops. I'll Live Again or Lazarus Come Forth.

One that I just listened to I think is a must to bring a smile on faces and has the message is Angels Step Back, Here I Come by Paynes.

For a serious song - "I Won't Have to Cross Jordan Alone" To 'kick it up a notch' - "Goin' Away Party". I love the one line in that song that says - the day that she longed for, is finally here.

I must have "Wish You Were Here"... I always wanted the "Hallelujah Chorus" played as they wheel my casket out.

At My Mothers grave side last week they played this song. It is not Southern Gospel but the words are unbelieveable. Really touches My soul. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IV9jiqS-74g

A group of us actually discussed this at church this week. Several agreed with me on Chris Rice's "Untitled Hymn (Come To Jesus)" and that great old hymn "It Is Well With My Soul." But I was the only one who had ever heard the Hoppers' "Applause," which paints such a beautiful picture of a faithful servant receiving heavenly accolades. One line asks: "Can you see the host of heaven, As the rise to recognize the child, Who faithfully walked every mile, To find all heaven stands up to applaud, As they run into the arms of God." A heavenly standing ovation, what a picture this song paints! zzzzzzz

Actually I have given this a lot of thought in the past. One song for sure would be "SWEET BEULAH LAND". I also want "IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL", "THANK GOD I MADE IT" by the Inspirations, and an old song my grandparents used to sing called "O COME ANGEL BAND". AND I also want Legacy Fives "I STAND REDEEMED". I want several songs sang. I love Southern Gospel Music and I want all those (4 or 5) people who show up to know what this music meant to me. I want "THE MIDNIGHT CRY" sang, and an altar call given. I have even thought about making a video of ME, urging my loved ones to make sure they make it and just tear their hearts out. LOL. I have a lot of unchurched family and I'd love to leave one very emotional appeal to them to get right with GOD so I can see them again. I also want to tell them if they don't plan on living for Christ, when they walk by the casket, to take a good long look, because they will never see me again. I'm serious! It might the only kind of appeal that will ever wake some of them up. There are tons more songs I'd like sang, but I think the one's I've mentioned are about all most could bare to sit through. Although, they might sneak in "ROSES WILL BLOOM AGAIN" if I die before my Mother.
