you get a tingle of memory when somebody drives down the road in that old white cross country driving station wagon and remember your family trip to Yellowstone National Park.

About that little Fisher Price house...I bought one on Ebay recently for about $30; it's just like new and has all the original pieces. My granddaughter loves it and it brings back so many great memories for me. If you had one, you'll remember that the doorbell was attached through the ceiling of the LR, with the tab of the screw in the kid's bedroom floor. Funny that the person I bought it from thought it was a thumbtack that he couldn't get out.

You all mentioned leisure suits. I had a light blue brush denim leisure suit. And I looked hot in it. It was my disco suit. (I still have it BTW. Can't fit in it but I still have it!)

You remember when any skirts below the knee were considered uncool.I remember wearing a midi-skirt to school my sophomore year and everyone thought I was a freak. I did it because my mother was always cutting edge about fashion and she begged me to wear it.

I had several pairs of colored fishnets. Blue, orange, yellow, green, etc. They matched whatever dress I was wearing. I thought I was just so very cool.

I remember the pie tins of Rit dye and all the rubber bands and the t--shirts or scarfs or whatever you wanted to tie-dye.

I could make such a mess. Mom would let me do it on the back patio and my hands would be just black from all the colors - I didn't figure out the plastic glove part till my 2nd session of tie-dying.

She had enough of my mess though, when I tie-dyed this really pretty white sweater I got for Christmas. It turned out pretty cool, but it never really looked as good as it did before.

hmmmm....do I know you? Did you live in Charleston in the 70's

That's just far too weird. I had a girlfriend with a red sweater who did the same thing.

When you remember having to buy your bell bottom jeans and your pea coat at the Army/Navy store.

I remember having a pair of the go go boots that looked like Nancy Sinatra's. Hadn't thought about those things in years. They had red lining, and they were a prized possesion back in grade school.

The kid at the drive through? How about the doctor? When he looks too young there's an issue.

^^ Speaking of a young looking Doctor...

I went to the dentist a couple of weeks ago for a cleaning, and the Dentist that popped in to do a quick check-up looked younger than my 20-yr. old son!
I'm sure he wasn't, but he looked like he should be out with his friends at the mall or skateboarding or something!!

Okay, okay one more. I had one of those little Fisher Price cameras where the flash bulb rotates, and you can see the pics inside. Wow, those kids were wearing some foxy clothes in that thing. Know what's cooler? I still have one of those that really works in my hope chest now....heheheehe

Did you really? I can't remember where I got this one. I found it about 5 yrs ago, and was surprised that the bulb still rotates and the pics still frame through. That's pretty cool. My daughters keep trying to steal it from me too...lol
