1.No honestly there hs not been, a pastor scrutinized like Wright, but are you noy concerned at his views? 2. Obama better denounce him, because like it or not if he wants to be president, he is to serve all races, and it makes us white people feel a little uneasy, with Wrights views, and wonder if Obama holds the same. Agree, od disagree, there is cause to believe Obama agrees with Wright. Would you want David Duke as president? I would not, even being white. I have better sense than wanting an extream person in office. 3.Maybe, they will a standard has been set, even if not, Obama needs to picj better friends. He needs a life coach or something. Obama is linked to radical, racist people. Ever hear the adage? "Birds of a Feather, flock togather" 4. Totally different situation. Say someone is a fry cook vs. President of the United States of America. Though if a fry cook was stepping on others because of beliefs of other employess, or patrons. They maybe ask to quit, there belief system or leave. Here is an exzample of this a grocery bagger ( a oneness pentocostal) at a local store here in my small town, when he carries my grocerys out, he makes comments about, I wear perfume like I am not married, or I wear capri pants, he comments on that, and me wearing make-up, tries to push oneness doctrine on me. I have not told, on him, because of love. 5. If my pastor said racist comments, would not be my pastor, I am more balanced than that. 6. Maybe, if they are ingrained so deeply with racial hate, from childhood that might disqulify them for future office, atleast, I hope. 7. It is called covering political behind, being PC, not wanting to appear racist. My comment is Julius, is Wright is a bitter man, and bitterness and anger has taken over his soul. Does he have a right to be angry? (maybe), does not everyone has a reason, life is not fair. He is so bitter that he is bitter at Obama, and he is trying to hurt him, for not defending his hate stance. That is such a no brainer. Bitterness destroys and makes one prideful. Another point, Wright is the one making a donkeys behind of himself, and Obama, it all died down, and just before an important primary, Wright is on a destruction tour. I think to put the blame on anyone, but Wright, and Obama is just seeing what you want to see. Here is another point, see how black bitterness in churches, destroys its own members. This is not the gospel of Christ is is a black KKK rally. It keeps memebers stuck in the past, so they cannot become sucessful, or truly free. The Bible itself will back up my last statement. quote:
ORIGINAL: saved9201 First off, whether one agrees with Wright or not is irrelevant to me at this point, but I'd like to ask some questions: 1. Has the PREACHER of ANY political candidate ever been scrutinized like Wright has? Can anyone even name any of the other candidates', including current President Bush's preacher? 2. Has any political candidate ever been asked to denounce as many people as Obama has? 3. Do you think any future political candidates will have to have his/her preacher pass inspection before they would be considered qualified for political office? 4. Would any of you like it if your boss calls you in one day and tells you he/she didn't like something your preacher said so you have to either quit the church or lose your job? 5. Since everyone is harping on the fact that Obama was at this church for at least 20 years, how many people who have been at their church for that long, can honestly say their preacher never said anything they didn't agree with? If so, why didn't you leave? 6. Is every little girl and boy who attends Trinity United Church now officially ineligible to run for President of the United States? and finally.. 7. Does anyone find it strange that not one sitting Congressman or political office holder, regardless of party, has come out publically against Obama's association with his pastor? Yes, Hillary did say she would have left the church if it were her, but she said little else. Think maybe they don't want that can of worms opened? - Julius
