Nadine . . . if I may, I'd like to share one of my blog posts with you (actually two of them; the one I linked and the one immediately following it).
I hope I'm not being presumptuous . . . but I remember the first year after CS's death and I just want you to know that I can relate to some of the things you may be going through.

Goodness, this place has been busy this afternoon!
I'm not going to join you in your book club, I'm afraid, although I'd like to. I'm in our ladies church book club, reading a book a month (pretty much), and also reading on my own, along with Bible studies. I'm swamped!
I'm going to watch your discussion, though, with great interest!
Oh, and SharMar, the GT is June 6-8.

Pammy, I have over extended myself in this way and it was not good. I really could not give myself to any of them 100% so I did not get near as much out of them as I should have or could have. I also felt quilty about it.

Thank you, I've had a great day! Two of my co-workers took me out to lunch, since we got off work at 1:15, then when I got home my kids had gifts for me. After I opened them we played Scrabble, which was one of my gifts, then they took me to our new Red Robin for dinner.
We're all just kind of chillin' out now. It's really nice because usually my son has to work, but he took tonight off to help celebrate my birthday!
Pretty soon we're going to have cake that my daughter made for me. Man am I blessed!
