God is so amazing ... I have felt a bit stuck in this state of limbo with him and this odd situation, and just when the swirl of limboness has twisted me around enough times to make me forget why I'm swirling around - wham! God gives me a little gift and tells me it's going to be okay.

((((( GOD )))))

Thank you!!! You always know what I need and just when I need it. [:)]

armydude -> RE: Pooh's Thotful Spot (8/25/2008 11:33:53 PM)

Awww... Thanks... But I promise I'm just a regular guy...

BTW... You've been on my mind a lot lately, so whatever's been putting you on my mind has been the subject of talks between me and my Heavenly Daddy... In other words, I'm praying for you my friend.

Thanks! Some of my favorite people are regular guys.[:D]

I really appreciate the prayers. I did some pretty heavy grieving yesterday after a guy asked me out of all things. [8|] Weird huh! Yeah, I could use some help from above.[:D] Thanks.

WaitingforBoaz -> RE: Pooh's Thotful Spot (8/27/2008 1:56:48 PM)

This post is from a month ago, I just thought I'd take a minute and remind myself how good our God is!!!!

I am not a big complainer, but I really need to vent tonight.

~my washing machine is broken,[:(]

My friends husband took my washing machine to the repair shop and the guy did it for free.He told the man my story and he had lost his wife three? years ago from cancer and is a widower. They ended up having to replace the whole control panel on my nuptune, not cheap. I called the guy and thanked him, super nice guy.

~My sprinkler system is not working and we are having to water by hand. If you saw my yard you would know what a huge job that is.[sm=angertalk.gif]

It turns out all that needed to happen was the reset button on the outlet needed to be pressed, it was tripped when the electicity went out.

~The guys tried to fix the sprinkler system but when they opened it up there was a massive beehive inside.[&:]

Bee removal cost me $150.00
The same week, my niece payed me 100.00 extra to cover gas, because we switch vehicles so I can transport all the kids.

~The back window on the vehicle I am borrowing will not go up, and it is monsoon season.[:o]

This was my nephews vehicle. I was going to have to pay him 8,000 for it, but I found out that he was also thinking about selling his Jeep Cherokee(sp) for half as much, so I bought that instead. There is more to that story that I will have to tell at a later date.

~And worst of all, I am having a relapse of pain(is that even possible) from breaking my tailbone in March. I am in incredible amounts of pain.

Well I can't say much about this....I am still in pain. It might be slightly better.[&:]

God has been so good to me!!!!! Just thought I'd share.[:D]

Focusing -> RE: Pooh's Thotful Spot (8/27/2008 2:09:44 PM)

Thanks Nadine!!

Isn't it cool when we can look back and see what God has done in our lives?

My sweet friend keeps asking me "How many miracles did you experience today?" and the last few weeks my answer has been along the lines of "ummmmm ............" And all I can say is that I am sooooooo thankful for his prayers. (thank you sweetie!!)

This morning the verse that I was drawn to is in John 12:35 ... Walk while you have the Light ...

The whole time the Light has been shining, and it turns out that I was hiding from it. Don't you hate when that happens?

So true Sam,

I took another part of the scripture that you had in your sig.

"he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes."

We also do not always recognize that we are in the darkness.[&:] We stumble around and trip up and then at some point we look around and realize we let the darkness overtake us. I hate it when that happens too. [&:] Yep, staying in the Light is a good thing.

I wanted to to tell ya'll about my car situation.

Most of ya'll will remember that my car was stolen a little over a month ago. The car was very old and therefore I only had enough insurance to keep me legal. That left me with no vehicle, and no way of getting one.
Less than 24 hours later my nephew, (who was right in the middle of a divorce with my niece whose kids I watch.) Brought me a very nice vehicle to drive. He was going to sell the car and offered to let me buy it for a lot less. It was stilll to much. Because of medical debt I could not get a loan. He offered to sell me his other vehicle for half the amount. But coming up with the smaller amount was also difficult.

Okay, so God knew this was going to happen, so he had a plan, this is what happened;
My nephew and nieces divorce just became final and the judge told my nephew that he had to pay back child support. It was the exact amount he was asking for the vehicle, so my niece suggested that he be forgiven the debt and give me the Jeep Cherokee, and we would deduct from what she pays me monthly for childcare until I have payed it off. Sounded like a deal to me. Thing is, they both wanted to help me but no one knew exactly what to do. God took care of all of us. I really think we all win.[:D]

Nadine, that car story is incredible. God is SO in the details, isn't He? His care for us is so minute. He arranges the most complex circumstances and brings things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. You've blessed me again.[:)][:)][:)]

Does anyone that frequents here Live in North Central Arkansas? Or even southern Missouri, The area I am thinking of is right near the border.
Or did you live there?

I am looking for any information on living there, the good, bad and the ugly. I am not thinking of going anywhere per say just investigating the possibilities. Cost of living is cheaper there and that is where my parents live.[&:] So, I was just thinking on it.

Thanks!

Blessings

I lived outside of Little Rock and remember driving up to Branson in a church van with 14 of my favorite high schoolers! [sm=icon_smile_yikes.gif] I only remember a long winding mountainous road and eventually getting to our destination in one place. The area was gorgeous, though.

The area is so close to Branson that my parents often go there after church for lunch.

I know the schools aren't so great[&:] I know about the weather, because at my parents age all conversations invaribly include the weather, bodily functions and Bridge, not necessarily in that order.[:D]

Is it a good place to raise kids? Are there many spirit filled churches? I know there are a lot of mainline denomination churches but my parents don't really understand the idea of being Spirit filled, so I can't ask them that. What are the people like?(this scares me a little since my kids will marry one day and they may be local.LOL) Those kinds of things.

edited because I repeated myself [&:]

BlessedAngel1983 -> RE: Pooh's Thotful Spot (8/28/2008 5:34:49 PM)

Nadine! I forgot to tell you! Kentucky contacted me today on his own. He found me on facebook a few weeks ago, but today he messaged me. It made my day tremendously brighter. I haven't seen him in a while. I loved when he'd sit with me at church. Kind of miss that. I wanted to share though. [:D]
