I prefer to sit in the middle half way up. That way the screen is visible and I can sit through the credits without having to let people out.

We go to a stadium seating theater. When my son was younger, we used to sit in the first row - the first step - easy in, easy out and. Now that he's a teen, we like to sit in the middle up but he wants to sit in the very back. We usually let him sit back there since most of the times, he'd see someone he knows from school or church in the theater.

I like to sit nearest the exit/entrance. I'm that way anywhere I go. That way if I start having a panic attack, I can get up without disturbing anyone.

I like to sit in the back row in the middle. I go early so I can get those seats. I don't like people sitting behind me kicking my seat and whispering etc.

LOL! I'm 6'5" - I should try this.

I like to sit in the middle, about 1/2-2/3 of the way back so I'm between the speakers and I don't have to look up too much to see the screen. Unfortunately, these are the most popular and most worn out seats, so I've had several occasions where I've had to hunt around for seats that weren't broken.

No sticky floors encrusted with Lord knows what, no cell phones ringing, no teens incessantly yakking, nobody flicking Raisenettes at my wife's head, nobody passing gas...the perks are endless. Plus the movie rental is only four bucks, the snacks are free, and I can hit pause when nature calls.

I like to sit in the very back row so I don't have to deal with anyone behind me. I also like to be near the aisle so if I have to go to the bathroom (and I always have to go to the bathroom) I don't have to climb over a bunch of people.

In a regular theater I like to sit midway down on the right or middle right.
Stadium seating theater, I like to sit in the 2nd main section on the first row. Meaning there is an entire section of 8-10 rows in front of us, so we are not to close up.

Love the stadium seating theaters the best![:)]

One or two rows from the top in the middle. The theaters here that I usually go to are stadium seating.

Once I was on the front row because that was the only place left. BIG MISTAKE!! I won't do that again! Especially with kids.

I would love to sit in the very front row with the screen way larger than life, etc. BUT if I go with others, I think they won't want that AND I'm fairly tall so maybe I would feel guilty that people behind me can't see.

My favorite is about a third way down from the front and at the end of a row. True, it can be a hassle when folks pass to and fro in your aisle, but it's nice not to be squished in between people, and especially at the times I go by myself, the end seat means there's a better chance of not being asked to move so others could fit in the rest of their party. Or if I don't the sit at the end, I like to position myself diagonal from someone in the row in ahead of me, in hopes no one else will come in and sit right beside them, hence less screen blockage.

The very front row is lousy. Things don't just look bigger - you're also viewing the screen from a steeper angle than anywhere else in the theater. If the speakers were tunes properly (which they usually aren't), they wouldn't be tuned for that position.

A good idea, generally, is to think about where the people who made the movie sat while they were making it - that's usually where it will be best.
