Morning Ladies!
So I am now officially a SAHM! My last day of work was Friday, it feels great to be done but also very strange, I'm definitely going to have to find some activities to keep me busy this summer (which will include being on here more )!
At my last MW appointment the baby's HB was at 134, my BP was 120/80 and I got the results of my glucose screening (nothing to worry about there ). My fundal height was measuring 26-27 (though by looking at me you'd think I was measuring ahead). Oh yes and I've also gained 27lbs to date !
I just can't believe my name is getting so close to the top - I find that scary and exciting all at the same time!

Here are a couple of new belly shots just taken yesterday, I think I hit a definite growth spurt from my 26 week shot!:

28.5 Weeks
28.5 Weeks BB
26 Week BB

Hubby and I are leaving on a little vacation tomorrow! I'm excited but not so much at the prospect of being in a place hotter than it is alreay here! I'm a big wimp when it comes to heat !

Scarlett
28 Weeks!!

Scarlet - Thanks for sharing the belly pics. You are a cute mama! Where you are heading for vacation?

Today, I am so excited. I go in for the ultrasound this afternoon. Hopefully, the baby cooperates so I can see what the sex is. My husband is counting down the hours.

Can your husband talk to my husband and convince him that we do want to know the sex of the baby??? Hope the sonogram goes well and your baby cooperates. Very exciting

We're heading out to British Columbia to visit some friends, my parents are there right now and say it's been close to 40C (not sure what that is in F but it's really hot )!

Scarlett, 40'C is 104'F ... but in BC 40 doesn't feel as hot as it does in other areas of the country .... like where I am in Ontario. BC doesn't have the intense humidity -- it's a drier heat. Enjoy your visit!

Scarlett, I love the belly pics! You're beautiful! Have a fun (and stay cool) in BC!

MAN, that was a big jump on the list! I'm fourth?! Better bone up on my pain management techniques... Oh, and could someone change my due date to Aug. 28th? It was changed once, but I think an earlier list got copied and pasted after that. Thanks!

Would anyone be willing to be my contact when D-day arrives?

Thanks for the conversion! Yes I agree that 40C in humidity is much worse than 40C in dry heat! I'm a born and raised AB girl and while I like some moisture in the air when it gets that hot it's just too much! What I really prefer is hot weather on the Caribbean Islands cause then you get the nice breeze from the ocean to round it all out !

Scarlett- You look great! There definitely was a growth spurt. Have a great time with your hubby!

Nicole- I did have a good time at my baby shower. Got lots of fun, cute little things. Makes this seem a tiny bit more real.

I had my doctor's appointment today. My hubby and son came along to watch the ultrasound. The baby is healthy. The ultrasound technician told me the baby is measuring at 19 weeks whereas I am supposed to be 18 weeks and 2 days. Since it is so close, they don't move the due date. I found out we are having a girl. My son took it well. He said he will go outside and play while the baby hangs out with me in the house. Kids say the funniest stuff.

I only gained 1 1/2 pounds since my last visit. I have to believe it is because I have been taken off of workout restrictions and have been riding my bike to work. I still have gained 13 pounds since the start. My BP is fine. The baby's heart beat was 147 which I was told is in the "normal" range.

I am beside myself with excitement that we are having a girl. My hubby is perfectly happy having a girl. He doesn't care either way.

The doctor was joking with my son telling him he has to go to Big Brother bootcamp, asking a lot of questions such as "How fast can you get a smelly diaper to the trash?" and "How gently can you get the baby in her car seat?" It was cute.

Thanks for the Huggies tip, Artemis, I was able to get a sample.

We had a dr appt today too.
We are measuring exactly on schedule. Everything looked perfect. I gained a little less than one lb since last visit.
Here are some new belly pics at 6 months (~24 weeks)

I completely forgot to ask my doctor this question while there today. I have been riding my bike back and forth to work ( 1/2 mile each way) for years now. So it isn't like I am doing any long, vigorous riding or even for much time. Does anyone know how long I can ride my bike?

Great pictures Erin! It amazes me how quickly a pregnant belly pops out. It seems like mine popped out over night.

Eh, I'm 17 weeks and I've only gained 4 pounds total... my doctor didn't seem worried at my appointment last week. If the baby's healthy and you're healthy, I'd assume everything is fine. Better than the other way around... I have a friend who gained 25 pounds by the time she was as far along as I am. She's a lot more concerned about my lack of weight gain than I am

I'm insisting on wearing my maternity pants today even though I have to pull them up every few steps. They're more comfortable than my "fat-jeans" so I don't care if I look ridiculous. Pbbbthh to anyone who says otherwise

Nice pictures, Erin!

I'd call tomorrow and ask if it were me. My doctor told me not to do anything that I could fall off of, including a treadmill or an excercise bike, so I assume that would include a regular bike. But I have serious asthma and have been known to pass out from exercise induced attacks, so that might be why she said that.

I have asked my doctor about riding my bike, and he told me it is ok. I just don't know for how long I can. I guess maybe when balance becomes an issue??? I think I may call to double check.

I would agree about the balance thing. It could get tricky after a bit

I'd say whenever you start feeling uncomfortable with it, or when you intuition tells you to stop. God has given women a very keen sense of what to do, and I'm sure you'll know. Some women run, ride horse, ect all pregnancy. I would imagine if you keep up with it, it might not be a problem. You know, the muscles needed for it would stay in shape. I was running before I got pregnant, but then got really sick in my first trimester, so I didn't run. But I also didn't start back up when I started feeling better, I knew those muscles weren't sharp for that anymore. I do walk now though.
