Nope, it's belly, I am out a few inches past my girlies now, and ALL my shirts stick to my belly, even the bigger ones (you know, the transition between when they are tents and just flow and you can't quite tell if someone is pg, then they sprout and it sticks to the protruding belly- we're there). I don't know, I am carrying low, which I didn't think I could do (very, very short-wasted). In clothes I am okay, but without, I feel like a Sneetch

I find it hard on the self image -- this in between stage when I could pass as gaining weight. I am nearly at the point where I will look pregnant versus looking like I am putting on pounds for another reason.

If it makes you all feel any better, I'm 27 weeks and people at work who didn't know I'm pregnant are just THIS WEEK noticing that I'm pregnant. Kinda funny. Although scrubs do hide things well, and I've had to move up a size in scrubs, so that hid me for a little longer even. I bought a couple new scrubs in mediums, but I'm wondering if I might not outgrow them, too. Erin, VERY CUTE!!!!

Hi Ladies! I'm still here - I read a few pages back that you were wondering where some of the people who hadn't logged on in a while were at. I was taking a break from CW for awhile, but feel like I'm ready to be back. There has been a lot going on here - a few of you knew that my husband lost his job a little over a year ago. The Lord sustained us through 7 months of unemployment, 6 more months of working at a part-time job that we were very grateful for despite it not being ideal, and He has now brought my husband an incredible job that can only be described as my husband's "dream job." God is so good! He provided in all situations, and took care of us through this past year-long journey. It was very scary at times, but somehow God made it so that there was always enough for us to get by on. Anyway, with that, my busy little toddler, and trying to finish my degree by distance before baby #2 arrives, I needed to really cut down on a lot of things that were taking up time. I feel like I am able to participate more now, and my classwork is slowing down as I get closer to degree completion. My toddler is still busy, but that most likely won't change anytime soon. I can't believe how much the list has moved! I will be 26 weeks tomorrow, and don't know where the time has gone. This pregnancy is going by so fast, and I'm kind of freaking out that I only have 14 weeks left. I have a prenatal on Tuesday, and I'm excited to see my midwife. I have a feeling this baby is going to be big - I'm so much bigger now than I was with dd at this point. For awhile I thought there might be two in there (we haven't had any ultrasounds) but judging by the movement at this point, I think there is just one. Question - does anyone else's belly feel sore a lot? I didn't have that with my first. Does that sound weird? 26 Week Belly Pic

Quick question... I posted my birth story in my congratulations/stalking thread, but then all of those threads got moved. I was hoping to go back and look at what I wrote... does anyone know where I can find it? or if it is even still on here somewhere? thanks!

Krista It must have been a shock for you to come back and find your thread not here. The congrats/stalking threads were all moved to the Community Lounge section, in the Personally For You folder, as a result of a decision made by the admin. But they were then moved out of there too. If you'd like yours reinstated there, send a message to Kath or Ps103 and ask if this could be done. Once it's there, you can save it to wherever you want to save it, and if you don't want it kept open, you can then email again, ask for it to be closed, and it will slip down the folder pretty quickly. IF YOU READ HERE (link) there's both discussion and explanation.

Has anyone else here had any problems gaining weight? With my last pregnancy I gained 40 pounds *no problem* lol. This pregnancy I was 135 pre-pregnancy. In the first trimester, without morning sickness, I dropped down to 120. I was able to gain that 15 pounds back, but was told that I still have to gain 25-35 pounds on top of it because that needs to be on top of my pre-pregnancy weight. Well, at 22 weeks I had gained a whole 1.5 pounds. A month later I had went up and weighed right at 145, so an 8ish pound gain. Great! I go back last week (2 weeks later) and I've LOST weight and am back down to a weight of 142.2 pounds at 29 weeks. My doctor has said that from this point on I need to gain at least two pounds per week until the end of my pregnancy and he has no idea why I'm having so much trouble gaining...I even kept a food diary that he looked over! It's just getting ridiculous lol. Anyhow, just needed to vent a tiny bit. OH and I don't think I've been back on here since my ultrasound so I guess I'll announce it now: ITS A GIRL! :D

Oh yeah, at the beginning of my second trimester I had nightmares. Like terrifying end of the world scenarios. It was horrible. That lasted about two weeks. Then I just had weird dreams. Who knows why it happens, but it is so normal. And my thought on the clothes, bring all the pants (as those are going to cause the most discomfort) but bring only mat shirts, you are pregnant, you can be a little baggy. I remember that in between stage too. I also remember the fit in the morning, but tight by evening.

So are boys...but in different ways. About the weight gain...15 pounds is not an unheard of amount to lose in the first trimester. IME, you cannot MAKE your body gain or not gain when pregnant. Your body does what it wants to. All you can do is eat healthy and don't worry about it. Also, was your first baby a boy? Maybe you just don't gain a lot with girls? And how much did the first weigh when he was born? His weight was likely NOT dependent on the 40 pounds you gained and should be a pretty fair indicator of how much this one should weigh. I'd not worry about it. Eat what you want, try to eat healthy, and gain what you gain.

I'd not worry about it. Eat what you want, try to eat healthy, and gain what you gain. Thank you for the congrats, we're SO excited for a little girl! When I took the pregnancy test I said, "I'm pregnant with a little girl" haha, I've just always had a feeling. My other child is in fact a boy, and was born at 8 lbs. 2 oz. I definitely didn't need to gain a whole 40 with him, but I'm kind of happy I did because I was actually trying to gain weight previous to that (I looked malnourished!). So I was happy when I was able to keep on 15 pounds once I lost the rest of the baby weight. Maybe it IS that I don't gain much with girls, I just know that it's really bugging me. It would make sense considering my doctor has read my food diary and said he can't see any reason that I wouldn't gain weight...so I guess I'll just put on pounds as I need to *shrug*. I'm a nutrition fanatic so I always eat healthy, except for these darn cravings for chocolate ice cream and donuts! haha. So I guess that's all I can do, eat well and just keep an eye on it.

Didn't get a decent picture of just me for a belly picture, but here are some of Brian and I. Brian and I...the first decent picture of us in years, and he's giving me bunny ears. Brian and I...no bunny ears this time If I saw me and I wasn't me (haha...), I would think I was due VERY soon. Too bad I still have almost 9 weeks left!

Have you ladies had problems with body image during pregnancy? I can't totally explain it because I honestly think pregnant bellies are beautiful, but I've been feeling so self conscience about mine. Part of it may be that it's not an obvious "pregnant belly" yet, but more of a "she needs to lay off the beer" belly, but I'm really sensitive about it. My mom said she saw "a little pooch" and she didn't mean it in a rude way, she meant it in a "the baby's growing!" way and I was totally embarrassed. Also, she asked me THREE TIMES within 20 minutes how I was feeling and the third time I was rather snippy in my "Feeling fine, thank you." I think the pregnancy hormones are getting me. Sigh. Edited to add that we picked out names (I know, we're ahead of the game). If it's a boy he'll be Isaac (take it as a compliment, Erin...it's a great name!) and a girl will be Naomi.
