tink - i understand - was just curious as i prolly forgot my badge at my job (not govt) every couple of months or hope they don't see me driving a different car in - thankfully it's pretty painless for us assuming we have some other id as i'm 45 minutes away from home ...

Missing a disney nametag isn't as bad as it used to be. (Except getting through the toll booths-- but they'll let you through when they see you wearing uniform). Nowadays we just have to call and they put our names through security. Now, if we don't have ANY picture ID, the manager has to come to the security check point to vouch for us. Fortunately it hasn't gotten to that point for me.

"Soccermom" but the boy plays "baseball". Don't worry SM4L. You didn't fail. He just moved up to a better sport. (Ducking for cover and running away) I guess I should change my name to SPORTSmom.... Daughter only plays/refs soccer, but son is multi-talented athletically... baseball soccer basketball (wants to try boys' club football this fall) And John, he has played soccer since he was 3. He's now 11.

He's just that good!!! Awesome footwork! LOL He's played baseball 3 years, but only started that to be with friends. Now, he does enjoy it more than soccer, and I think he will do well in almost any sport. He's just got that natural athletic ability(that I do NOT have...)

ORIGINAL: Tinkerbell_ Oh I've done that before. Working for the government (CIA *grin*) we have to have passes to get to work. My car, with my access pass, was getting worked on and I was driving my dad's truck. Got all the way to the entrance and realised I didn't have my pass. *groan* I work about 26 miles away from home. Had to drive back, go to my dads, get his set of keys for my car, go to the mechanics, get my pass out, take the car keys back to my dads, and then go back to work. *sigh* When I called my boss she couldn't help but chuckle. Luckily I didn't have any meetings that morning or I would have had some 'splaining to do. I thought headquarters had installed retinal scanners? Much more convenient than passes and less invasive than implanted RFID chips. And that story about an agent being blinded by them is only an urban legend. (Probably.) -Robb

Besides, I thought I told you anything we discussed offline would have to be confidential punishable up to but not excluding death or tongue removal?
