A good friend of mine in the band had his birthday yesterday. Last night after band practice they had a surprize party for the two of us. Of course they brought all kinds of cakes and goodies. They even brough cupcakes made from Splenda just for me.

And unfortunately, I couldn't eat any of it.

I don't mind not being able to eat it, because I know I can't. It does make me feel bad though when somebody goes to all that trouble to make something special only to find out I still can't have any.

At least I'm eating right, and feeling better. The blood sugar is doing very well these days, and I aim to keep it that way.


All the same, it must be nice to know your friends cared enough to go through the trouble. Could you save the cupcakes for later (was it an out-of-carbs issue?).

Perhaps next time they'll boil you an egg. And it will bounce bounce bounce.

Sure did. After w*** we went to Texas Roadhouse. The parking lot did seem a little empty. Sure enough they didn't open for another 45 minutes.

So we went to the Best Buy down the street just to kill some time. My eye caught an updated version of Flight Simulator for a reasonable price.

Tooshy couldn't walk any farther, so we drove back to the restaurant. They opened 15 minutes early, so we got right in.

I had the ribeye/ribs combo. They have wonderful dinner rolls with cinnamon butter. Had to limit myself though.

Afterward, we ended up going to the grocery store next door. Tooshy used their electric scooter.

We got home in time to see part of the Tigers baseball game. They were losing 3-1 when we went to bed. Thankfully we missed the 11-1 spanking yet to come.
