I wouldn't bother using it on my underarms. The hairs are blonde there, and not bothersome. I certainly would use it on my legs & bikini area.

I am officially watching the ebay auctions to see if I can get a cheap one.

The best thing about using it underarm is that the hairs aren't sharp when you need to remove them. So, the hairs don't poke you every time you have your armpit "closed." And there is no more irritation of razor and deodorant (synergistically causing each to be worse!)

Edited for so many mistakes!

I've learned a few things about hair over the years. [8D]

The reason shaving makes your hair seem thicker is because it cuts all the hairs off at one time, causing it to appear as though they are all growing the same length at the same rate. (And you get a blunt cut at that.)

If you wax or "epilate," the hair will be softer because the new hair ends are tapered, like Zippy said. If you never remove hair at all, the same thing will occur and your leg hairs will fall out at intervals and be replaced by new hairs, just like the rest of your body. (Except maybe your head. I don't know how that works.)

RE: underarms

I fully expected ripping hairs out of my armpits to be unbearable, but I tried it and it wasn't that bad. Shocking.
