JordanW -> Thinking About Enrolling In Bible College... (5/3/2008 7:00:41 PM)

Well that was my original plan after High School but it didn't happen. I went to Community College and ended up dropping out a few months later. I am contemplating doing a Online Bible College type thing, because my Dad offered to pay for it, so I thought I'd take him up on his offer. I'm looking into www.onlinebiblecollege.com but am not sure of it. Do any of you know of any Online Bible College places? Let me know!

I've just spent some time on their web site, and at first glance it looks really impressive. Times of revival are also times of weirdness. When God's Spirit moves, Satan also gets busy. This means that the need for sound Bible teaching is especially important at these critical moments in history, when a culture's heart is open to God. A few decades ago, I saw a move of God ("the Jesus movement") poisoned and rendered impotent by rotten doctrines. Reformations have always been scholarly movements, that addressed the Christian mind. Revivals come and go, often leaving enduring evil behind. Reformations change history for the greater glory of God.

For the record, I am working on a PhD program online, through Pat Robertson's Regent University, and believe that God wants me to participate in something like this online Bible college. When Islam falls, a billion of our fellow creatures are going to be looking for new answers -- and may God grant that we be ready for that opportunity.

They also have accredited programs too, but I figure I'll do those after I do all the free stuff.

You could also check out www.lbc.edu. I take some of my courses through them online.[sm=moocow.gif]

Jordan - a lot of people are not around on the weekends. Please give people time to respond. Those posts are barely an hour apart - on a Saturday afternoon - in the spring. People have been cooped up all winter and are now outside enjoying activities they cannot do throughout the winter.

In regards to finding an accredited online bible school - you can do a ton of research yourself. There are TONS of them available - it just depends on what you are looking for in regards to your education and background. You need to give us more information to be able to help, but do the research yourself and post a few of them and ask for opinions then. That's the best way to get responses.

Jordan the link I gave you is. Here is another way to get on the site you can look at http://mylbconline.lbc.edu. Click on the video on that page and listen to the president of the college explain.

Rod Parsley's World Harvest Bible College can be complete through videos. You sign up and he'll send you the videos.

I know some people who have graduated from there, and they loved it!

Go to: http://esp.rodparsley.com/ - you can find the link there.

Sorry, my mistake - regardless, Saturdays during the spring/summer are notoriously slow.
