If your husband won't file for divorce, why would you then want to or think it ok to do so?

Jesus says, "whosoever puts away their spouse and marries another, commits adultery". If this is a marriage God joined as ONE flesh, then it is absolutely NOT His will for divorce to occur---especially if after a divorce adultery happens. Jesus commanded in the cases of separation, that a woman is to remain unmarried OR be reconciled to her husband. There is no "new life" option offered. I really encourage you to get into God's Word. There you will find the comfort and truth you need to walk out whatever is your path in this life. Blessings.........

4 years is a long time to be seperated. I don't blame you for wanting this to some kind of conclusion. I have no idea what God would have you do but I do know this, divorce is not a cure-all. But you know that or you wouldn't have hung on this long. His mom may be adding her say into this but he makes his own choices. Her say so probably just confirms what he is already thinking.
