Guys: Do you find it offensive when you get checked out by women?

I'd be flattered

Yep, same here.

Okay, this may have been asked before, but why do you guys stare at girls?

Becomes sometimes girls just look really really nice. We don't mean to stare (as in be rude) but some things are just too beautiful to look away from.

Don't mind it at all. I just hate it when they return me late. I mean some other woman may want to check me out and the librarian would have to turn her down. I hate having people be disappointed like that. (Besides that I understand the late fees are atrocious)

And don't even get me started on the after hours drop chute!!!

I don't know how this thread works, but John's comment is hilarious!!

Woodwind, you'll want to keep an eye his posts. John keeps the laughter (and the groans) going around here...

And besides all that, he has a lot of smart stuff to say, too.

HA!

(and now the OH will be after you, John! Revenge is SWEET!)

besiderself

Watch it! You'll blow my rep.

I am allowed to silently enjoy other people saying nice things about me. But heaven help me if I say those things[:D][:D]

Yeah, I've noticed some of his posts. Absolutely hysterical. Guess I'll have to watch out for them now for sure, huh?!

BTW, what does OH stand for?

Tinkerbell_ -> RE: He says/She says for Singles (May Game Thread) (5/11/2008 10:47:19 PM)

Overwhelming Humility. It beats him up when his head gets too inflated.

Totally warranted of course but he and John struggle a lot.

woodwind228 -> RE: He says/She says for Singles (May Game Thread) (5/11/2008 10:49:50 PM)

LOL So there's no need for fix-a-flat around here then...

mutinywxgirl -> RE: He says/She says for Singles (May Game Thread) (5/11/2008 10:50:31 PM)

Oh, no, not at all - not with John around. [:D]

Why do men like to be in charge of the remote control?

humbleinspirit -> RE: He says/She says for Singles (May Game Thread) (5/12/2008 9:51:15 PM)

Because we like to be able to watch what we want to watch. [sm=tongue.gif]

Because it's the last thing in our lives we can be in absolute control of?
Because at work, when the women aren't watching we have competitive channel surfing during our lunch breaks?
Because if we let the women have it we'll be tortured by endless chick flicks and QVC infomercials?
Because with just a little imagination it feels like a light saber and we can be a Jedi knight ridding teh universe of bad TV programs?

Or maybe just because deep down we are all control freaks?

Interesting possibilities. I prefer #4. Very cool!

So, why do most men not like for women to control the remote?

It's not that we don't want you to control the remote. It's that when you are controlling the remote, we are not.

Focusing -> RE: He says/She says for Singles (May Game Thread) (5/13/2008 1:22:21 PM)

LOL

I have the remote so infrequently I have to actually look at the buttons to figure out how to work it. Unlike the munchkin whose fingers go naturally around it like a pro. Hmm ...

Guys: Tell us what you think about the long painted fingernails you see on some women.

That bolded is actually a pretty fun game. If I get to the GT, I will bring it!!!

Because if a woman has the remote the TV won't stay on one channel long enough to watch a commercial from beginning to end let alone a whole program. Click,click,click,click,click,click,click,click.........

NOT! I hate channel surfing. I'm watching some stupid show on Nick because I don't want to mess with changing the channel. [&:]

Okay...I have a question...when I ask, "What are you thinking?" and you say "Nothing" are you really not thinking of anything? [8D]

Not in my case!!! If I'm watching TV, I don't like channel surfing. Now my dad, that's a different story! I swear he knows just when I'm getting into a program... just when the plot thickens... click! [8|]

Excellent question, Tink. I'm also curious if men really do have "compartments" as some brain research indicates.

That's very possible. Or at least we are so far lost in thought (after all it's a strange place for us) that when startled we totally forget where we were.

Dakotasunbeam -> RE: He says/She says for Singles (May Game Thread) (5/13/2008 11:55:38 PM)

Jazzlvr,

quote:

I grew up as the only boy in the family. I have three sisters and a mother, I know for a fact that girls stare at guys, too. I'd wager that we are all thinking the same thing.

Growing up around girls by no means allows you access to the thoughts that we are thinking. [&:] While it is true we can let our eyes linger a bit too long--I think women are far less guilty of this than men. It's just, some men stare so intently, I am almost compelled to ask them if I can assist them? I just don't get it.

But your responses have been enlightening. [:)]
