ORIGINAL: robertyork The first or second year that Ceasers opened we had a meeting scheduled there. Myself and a fellow from Atlanta had reservations there and when we went to check in (It was very late at night) they didn't have common folks rooms left. They gave each of us a pent house room on the top floor. The room was about like a house. The king size bed was raised about three foot high on a platform with steps going up to it. It had one of those fancy covers over the top of it. Think maybe it was one of those rooms for millionaires to be in when they were out there gambling. We used to have a meeting most year in Vegas and I went almost every year up until I retired. We would occasionally have it in some other city but they would always return to Vegas. I seriously have always want one of those beds.

I want some! Please? quote:
ORIGINAL: robertyork SM...How do you expect to have milk to drink and cook with unless you milk the cow? s are free range. and that means that they run wild in the yard. Us south'eners call them yard birds. Bobby, need I remind you . . . I don't drink milk. I have, however grown rather fond of coconut milk in the last couple of months. Ya got any of them roamin' around your yard?

Nice to have a day with no wind. It is very wet, and the forecast is for more rain the middle of this week, so tractors may sit idle all week. We had a nice crowd at Mother's Day services yesterday morning, but the main door of our church faces West, and it was hardly safe to open it to go in or out. Ricky Gooch told me last night that they had to fight the wind all the way from Ohio to IL in the bus.

We had some pretty good wind last night . . . as I was riding my trike today, the street, sidewalks and yards had broken limbs everywhere; some of them pretty big in size. Bill, hope your tractors don't sit idle for too long. Bobby, I don't know that I've ever had coconut shrimp before, but I like both ingredients.

"The Fastest Dad" Little Sammy was talking to a couple of boys in the schoolyard. Each was bragging about how great their fathers are. The first one, Bobby, said: "Well, my father runs the fastest. He can shoot an arrow, and start to run, I tell you, he gets there before the arrow!" The second one, James, said: "Ha! You think that's fast! My father is a hunter. He can shoot his gun and be there before the bullet!" Little Sammy listened to the other two boys and shook his head. He then said: "Sorry, dudes, but MY DAD is the fastest. He works for the government. He stops working at 4:30, and he's home by 3:45!"

It's been slow since the first good morning today. Only 65 post made here. Everyone must be tired from the weekend or they don't have much to say.

I've got enough to say, but not many people are here to chat with...
