ORIGINAL: crh737 I also discussed with my fiance that I want our marriage to be Christ centered and that I want us to pray together. I have been pondering on Kingdusts note of: Righteous men failed and fell 7 times, but raised 8 times. So I will have to open my heart more to the Lord to hear from Him. My thanx again to everyone In His Love CRH I am glad to hear that you are working together with your fiance and the Lord. As long as the Lord is in between you and your fuance, you will be fine, even though the two imperfect persons outnumber the one perfect one. Incidentally, the sermon yesterday was about opening our heart to one another, in addition to the Lord, good or bad times. The quoted verse was about Paul frankly talking about his fear within facing troubles outside, and got encouragement from his subordinate, Titus. If the greatest apostle like Paul opened his troubled heart to his spiritual son, less in power and experience, being vulnerable by showing his weakness or shortcomings openly, we ordinary believers have no excuses not to open our feeble heart without any pretense or cover to fella believers, especially to spouse who is to help each, not to destroy. However, opening heart to one another is not easier than to the Lord, if not near impossible without help from the Lord. If your fiance has the Lord in him, opening your heart to the Lord should not be too different from opening your heart to your fiance, a bearer of Jesus. O, how hard it is to talk from the heart without any pretense!
