Are there any clothing trends you feel should be outlawed? Wearing pants that are two sizes too big for you, skin tight tops and bottoms, and seeing a woman's thong underwear when she bends over.

Yes, mid rift shirts that show too much of the abdomen.

And really low pants.

And shirts were it looks like the bosom will fall out.

I hate clothes that show too much skin and reveal everything. A shirt doesn't have to be neck high but it should at least cover up the essentials same with pants. They should cover up not show off or let the rolls hang out.

really low pants ... I will never understand why this was ever a trend.

teen-style clothing on 7 year olds

really low pants!! (your underwear is not attractive)

sunshine4God -> RE: Are there any clothing trends you feel should be outlawed? (5/14/2008 12:28:42 AM)

speedos on old men
micro mini skirts
shorts so short they look like undies
and shirts with skulls on them.

As a .... caloricly blessed man.....
skinny people wearing pants and belts that should be on plussed sized people... come on! stores already don't get that many things in my size, you don't see me tryin to fit in something 5 sizes too small, why you gotta wear my clothes??
Caloricly blessed women wearing belly shirts, nuff said.
spandex
low rise jeans with thongs .... I don't care to see what color your hinie floss is, just knowing that your wearing it is t.m.i.

Hinnie floss, that's a good one Romans16_20. I almost peed my pants reading that.

This one could be a lot of fun, but I think that for now, I will write seriously.

No, I don't think there any clothing trends I believe should be outlawed, with governments as they are now. In the U.S., if I pass a law that says you must/must not wear certain items or combinations, then I diminish my own freedom to dress as I wish.

However, when our Messiah returns, there will be His laws, and I will be all for them.

uncabeeil -> RE: Are there any clothing trends you feel should be outlawed? (5/15/2008 10:21:43 AM)

I don't know about outlawed, but there oughta be some regulations.

1) If you weigh more than an NFL linebacker, put down the spandex.
2) If your butt looks like two badgers wrestling in a bag when you walk, do not wear shorts or sweats with a message on the backside.
3) If your cleavage reaches to your waist, step away from the halters.
4) If your belly shakes like St. Nick's, leave the midriff blouses on the rack.
5) If the friction from your thighs rubbing together makes your panty hose smoke, please forgo the miniskirt.

I'm sure there are others that should exist.

Thank you! thats the nicest thing anyone has said to me all day.... course it is only 6:30 (on a saturday... and I am up... further proof of my disturbedness) and I have not gotten out of bed yet so I haven't really talked to any one, but thanks for the compliment

NealIRC -> RE: Are there any clothing trends you feel should be outlawed? (6/7/2008 9:20:03 PM)

Why outlaw the actual clothes?

Why not make laws on public dress codes?

Okay, so you take offense to a woman wearing a bikini and a thong. But that's fit for wearing them in your own bedroom - so why outlaw the actual clothes?

Why not just make laws, or make it illegal, to, etc.

I mean, public schools K-12 have a dress code. You might as well just have a public dresss code for beaches and parks. And people that patrol them, just like middle/high school administrators.

Covaan_Meshuga -> RE: Are there any clothing trends you feel should be outlawed? (6/7/2008 11:12:06 PM)

I know no clothing item I would write should be outlawed, but I am not impressed by:
* cleaveage, whether in front or in back
* people who have no idea that the waist of their pants belongs at the waist of their body
* low-slung pants worn with a thong
* seeing too much from the sleeve of a woman's top
* seeing dirty bra straps peeking out of clothing
* clothing that is so tight that it embarrass me, and I'm not the one wearing it
* blouses that gape at the breasts and/or stomach
* stomach that hangs out under a top, whether a man's or a woman's
* clothing that it is obvious that no one would wear unless they wanted the wrong kind of attention, especially in churches
* women who wear such clothes then say to a man, "My eye's are up HERE!" as though the woman is innocent and the man is a sex-crazed imbecile.
