Although I can somewhat remember the melody and was able to google the lyrics, I have been unable to identify the song title and artist for this song. The artist was female and it played fairly often on Christian radio when I was in college back in the 1988-1990 time frame. Anybody out there know this one? It's driving me crazy. Here are the lyrics...

>Some predict the time is close at hand,
>Others say we have extended grace.
>To bring the Word to every man,
>Before we meet our Lord face to face.
>What matters to me is the moment,
>And my commitment to pressing on.
>And I'm in this race and I'll run it,
>Taking each day as it comes.
>On the strength of a higher calling,
>On a wing and an endless prayer.
>Through the standing and the falling,
>I will be prepared.
>No man knows the hour,
>But we recognize the season;
>And I will shun that ivory tower,
>For the Road that has a reason.
>I believe in the Revelation,
>I believe in the prophecy;
>But the real equation
>Is to count the days eternally.
>I'm not looking for the Rapture,
>But I want to live like the time has come.
>And on the morning after,
>When I stand before His throne,
>And my name is called,
>And I face my Lord;
>I want to hear Him say:
>"Well done faithful servant,
>Well done!"
