Hey! I finally got my Avatar too! Guess you have to have 50 posts to get it. It kind of looks like hot chocolate.

I'm completely new to forums. I joined Crosswalk.com two years ago with an incling to get involved in a Christian community. I decided that it was too much like entering a party that had already started and I didn't know anyone. I decided to try again, now that I'm a mom starving for conversation. It still seems like many forums are an opportunity to espose thoughts, but no real connection. This string seemed to have the most potential for inclusion and conversation.

BTW, I love maplebars and plane cake donuts (or is that doughnuts and is plane cake one or two words?).

Have you noticed that people don't spell doughnut the right way anymore? My spell check is telling me I'm wrong! What is wrong with the world today???????

That bugs me too Cranky.

Hey Coffee Drinker, welcome to forums!

Heavenite, welcome to forums! If you'd like to participate in some of the chat threads and feel overwhelmed, the first part of the month is a good time because the threads are started on the first. We have a few chat threads in womens folder if you'd like to pop in and say hi!

WELCOME!

Involvement in a forum like this is a bit like joining a new church. Look around for some general topics that interest you and plunge in. You'll find where you feel comfortable and, before you know it, will find new friends that you'll enjoy talking with each day.

BTW, I usually go with "donuts" just because it's easier. I guess "plain cake" are two words, but whose counting?

Hi!

You can follow me around and disagree with all my posts. We'll get into big arguments and have lots of fun.

I'll start now. A Plane Cake would be an interesting cake--is it just shaped like a plane? Does it fly through the air? Or is it a cake only served on planes? Have you ever actually seen a Plane Cake?

Just where in scripture can you provide support for these Plane Cakes?

Never been to Crosswalk.com (honestly, I never heard of it) before. I may check it our sometime (if I don't forget about doing so - which is a possibility). I belong to another forum but I don't post very often (more of a reader than a poster - exception seems to be this forum - it just seems so good here).

I'll give you a better welcome and post a welcome in your intro!

EDIT: Heavenite! I was looking for your intro and couldn't find it.

Cake? Square, round, oddly shaped, plane or plain - or even on a plateau plate! It's all good... YUM!!!

You are visiting Crosswalk.com without realizing it. We have like 40 different portals that feed into this forum.

Here is one list of portals. Some of them have different color schemes so if you don't like the look of one try another. User name and password is the same for all portals.

and here is another list of portals that feed into this forum.

Thank you for all the info! That was very helpful! I'll be sure to take a closer look at the first of the month. After my last post I wondered about the possible feedback on my misspell, but I loved the replies. I might have seen a cake that was shaped like a plane, but it didn't fly. I'll have to give my son a plane cake and see if he'll make it fly <grin>.

I apologive but, I never formally introduced myself on this forum. I sorta jumped in. I guess I midtroduced. I'm not very good at introductions. I hope I'm not out of line (LOL). Should I go back to the front of the line?

What's funny is that your intro appears to be in my intro! LOL!!!

Well, if you make an intro we'll just have to "officially" welcome you back to the forum!

What? Me complain? I have conveniently forgotten all about that.

Urk me that donut is spelled... "doughnut?"

Not at all. It's not the spelling that matters. It's all the good stuff that goes with it!

Thank you for the "welcome."

P.S. "alot" is two words - ie... a lot.

I hope you don't mind, but I like your intro better. Can I please stay and camp out here? I'll bring my own Starbucks latte' and maple bars. Tully's' banana bread is pretty good too.

Not at all! It's just an intro thread.

You know... (no you don't actually). Anyway, I have never tried a Starbucks product. I'm a cappucino fiend too - french vanilla! Good drink! Don't have a Tully's here. But, banana bread is great! I like it with blackberry jam! Yum!

Oh yeah... Welcome to the forum too!

Last night I spent some time taking a closer look at FAQ and reading Fritz's thread. It's amazing how much time goes by reading and posting in the forums. I recently considered starting a blog too. I've come to realize that I don't really have the time to invest in this. I'll probably reconsier at a later date. I wonder if there's a post requirement to reach a future date. It was lovely while it lasted. I wish you God's richest blessings. Thanks for the laughs.

Instead of an introduction this is kind of my good-bye. Sorry. I'll check back later for your replies.

No good-bye is necessary. Such is the way of Internet Forums. People come and go continually. I've been on a few of them. Some are good and end up becoming bad, some are good and stay good (like this one). This forum has a good set of standards and good mods that keep those standards going. I, for one, am happy they don't tolerate garbage.

Me? I just talk a lot. I give a new meaning to the phrase "talk a lot." Yakity, yakity, yak, blah, blah, blah.... etc., etc...

You take care Heavenite!

Anyway...

This intro of mine... is soooooooooo

P.S. In case your wondering why I chose "Coffee Drinker" as my login name... I like coffee and because I don't know how to spell "capachino."

LOL Fellow coffee lover here! And I love a good debate too but they're so hard to do online b'c it seems many mistake it for arguing. Like Tim Russert asked, are we losing our ability to know the difference? I think so.

You betcha! Just like one big happy family! Face it! If we can't get along in this life - we will certainly get along in the next!

Oh yeah! Thanks all for the hearty welcome!!!
