I just got "Anna and the King." It is a remake of "The King and I" (which I haven't seen). I think it is a cute movie with a good message about relating to other cultures.

Lord of the Flies the first one? It's pretty good, but, of course not as good as the book.

I just saw Motorcycle Diaries. It was a pretty good movie, beautiful scenery in the movie. Its about a cross country trek that Che Guerrva (sp?) took with a friend of his in South America. This shows him as being a very compassionate man and maybe how the roots began for his revolutionary life.

Yah the first one. The plot is pathetic as there actually is none, some people on an island, and they're supposed to be in a critical situation? There are thousands of people living in colonies on small islands all over Oceania.

"The plot is pathetic as there actually is none, some people on an island, and they're supposed to be in a critical situation? There are thousands of people living in colonies on small islands all over Oceania. " Assuming we're talking about the same movie, where the school boys are marooned on the island - people living on small islands in communities isn't the same as children being stranded with no supplies, adult supervision...the subtleties and metaphors of the plot I guess is what you're studying in school...

In theatres: Sin City. At home: Wagons East. Both were pretty good, in my mind.

My dad bought Ocean's 12 last night. I saw it in theatres, but I'm looking forward to seeing it with the padre, since he hasn't viewed it yet. Oh, I forgot...my pal and I saw Young Frankenstein just a day or two ago. I have to say, that movie never gets old.

Just saw Phantom of the Opera. I liked the stage version better, but the movie was good too.

Bowling for Columbine has some skewed statistics and "creative" editing. There was a campaign to revoke his Oscar, because it's not a true documentary (never mind the misinformation).
