Sex and the City. (Ducking behind furniture to avoid objects being thrown at me! )

I had never seen the TV show; so I didn't understand what the appeal was all about. In fact, I wasn't planning on going to see it. Well I went out with a group of friends, there were 14 of us, and we had a great time! I found out I wasn't the only one who had not been a fan and had never watched the show.

I actually enjoyed the movie. Jennifer Hudson was a bright spot in the movie. Definately for adults, some very explicit scenes and discussion about sex. And I think it should have had an NC-17 rating, not just an R. The themes of friendship and forgiveness was the focus of the movie for me.

I am getting sucked into seeing it with my GF Today. Not a hugh fan of the show but watched it from time to time.

Saw Indi last weekend and absolutely loved it. Didn't expect the plot though.

Charlie Wilson's War- Excellent Movie. Julia Roberts looks good for a blonde.

Before The Devil Knows Your Dead- Good Movie. A lot of Nakedness though and the twist in the end is something definetly I didn't expect

Cloverfield- Absolutely Loved It.

In The Name Of The King- Good Movie

I know this is a "I just saw" thread but my post is about what I don't want to see and that is Sex and the City. For so long this was one of HBO's star shows and now it is a movie that is breaking box office records. This shows me that the values people in this country used to respect and hold high value to have eroded away. This movie promotes sex out of marriage. It glamorizes the stars and makes them look successful so that the viewer is lulled into a false sense of belief that what this movie promotes is good for you. It sends a message to the viewers that it's ok to have sex before marriage, to live together and to push aside God's Word. God opposes what this movie promotes and the reality of it all is those who engage in this lifestyle will suffer. At one time Americans would not even paid a penny to see this movie except those who live in a sewer.

Over her dead body- with Eva Langoria. It's okay, a few funny scenes...that's pretty much it.

Mad Money with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah- don't bother to waste your money even if it's just a rental.

In the past two weeks, I saw Indiana Jones and today I saw Kung Foo panda. I was surprised that neither film had any cussing and was kid freindly. Mind you, i am an adult. Good little message in Kung Fu Panda, about being yourself and not trying to be like anybody else and using your own strengths.

Lars and the real girl- I've read a few posts about the movie how they were surprised about the movie and yes...I agree. I was totally surprise. It was funny, it was sad ....it's full of love. No condemnation on how he evolved his life with the doll. It was surprisingly a great movie.

The Bucket List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. I never thought that having two strong male actors making a movie will end up in a tearjerker. I really enjoyed it, I just did not have a box of tissue with me.

I saw Robert Whitlow's The List. It was AWESOME!!! It's a movie about a group of people who are bound by a generational oath and the message is that God's power is stronger than any oath made by man!!! Great!!! 5/5.

Read the book first though.

Lust Caution - An Ang Lee film. There were some very explicit sex scenes so be cautioned if you watch & have kids around. Very good drama, artistically beautiful, not a feel good happy story though.

We Are Marshall -Absolutely Loved it!!!!!! Terrific story. Only remember hearing 3 or 4 swear words in the film, no sex or nudity, violence is on the football field, few fist fights. I highly recommend it!

I thought the movie was NC-17 so 'not sure why anyone would watch NC-17 with kids around.

I didn't realize it was NC-17 before I rented it! That's what I get for not paying more attention to the cover! AND getting sucked in by the previews!

And just to be clear. . . . my kids were not home when I watched it. (It went back to the video store the day after I watched it.) Just trying to give others a "heads up".

You should see the reactions of Beijing's censorship board. Not too long ago, one of Lust Caution's stars, Teng Wei (?) was blacklisted, or something to that effect, thanks in part to not only the movie's sexual content, but likewise with its political content, i.e. having a Chinese collaborator to Imperial Japan (circa WWII) as the protagonist. Though I haven't seen the movie yet, this Ang Lee effort reminds me of Paul Verhoeven's Black Book in a way--minus the controversy.

Harem Suare (The Last Harem)

This Turkish/French/Italian(?) period drama reminds me of a sexier version of The Last Emperor, except the former is set in The Ottoman Empire, around and eventually after the First World War, concerning one Italian wife of the Sultan trying to use her charms (as well as a compliant African eunuch) to climb her way up the royal hierarchy... that is until the outbreak of WWI. I have to honestly say that Marie Gillain is a looker!

I just saw "Don't Mess with the Zohan" and wish I hadn't.

Besides the sexual perversion, it is absolutely degrading to Jews and Arabs alike.
