Karyyk -> RE: Teachers conduct...matter? (6/8/2008 1:33:04 AM)

I'm not one to talk (I'm not a fan of it, but I let one fly from time to time), but this kind of thing is a problem. The fact that they feel free to speak this way in front of you and other guests is definitely telling as far as what's apparently acceptable. Regardless of how they conduct themselves in the classroom, I think a person's language is a reflection of their true self, and if that's what's coming out, then that's what's in their heart. If that's indeed the case, then I doubt they're going to have anything genuinely beneficial to teach your children. I'm not sure if talking to them is really going to help. They might nod and apologize, but what's the internal reaction going to be? I'm a bit cynical about such things, but that's something to be mindful of. Just because you don't see it again doesn't mean the heart has changed, and if your children aren't going to get anything worthwhile, what's the point of even attending?
