Yes our Canadian prime minister Steven Harper who is also a Christian needs prayer as one of his cabinet ministers did a breach of security. Now scandal is rocking the Canadian legislature and fur is hitting the fan so to speak. Steven Harper has been doing a good job requiring accountibility in his leadership and has had to do some major "clean up" from the previous government and earn the public faith in the government. We're rooting for him as he is a Christian and it is a minority government.

As far as I see, especially in the wake of the breach of security, this minority government and this Christian Prime Minister is no different from any other politician. He has no intention of getting rid of the same sex marriage bill, though he campaigned on the fact that he would. He has stated that he has no plans to change our abortion laws, and that he will not allow parliament to even discuss the issue. He has stated that moral issues should not be party policy. I'm not saying he isn't a Christian, and I do believe that all of our government leaders need our prayer, but really, Stephen Harper is just another politician who is more concerned with pleasing everyone than with leading with Christian values. Monitoring the content of our movies and withdrawing support for daycares is not enough to keep every Christian in Canada happy. You're right, he does need prayer, even from those of us who aren't rooting for him.
