well, in China they are making robots that will give kisses!

Pretty crazy!

And that's not all, but we won't talk about that.
Crazy world. We should find people to love, not build robots.

But y'know at this point... I'd almost take a robot over nothing. (Ok, I'm just kidding!!)

Well... there's no need to go after a robot, ladies. Good men are out here and looking. :) *ahem* *looks at the floor*

...and looking... and looking... and looking...... but nobody's asking.

It's hard to know who is available. I never know if a woman is married (don't want to ask her), bitter/anti-male (men like to avoid having their heads ripped off), going steady, or actually available and open to being approached.
A lot of women make a sport out of battering men, so a lot of us tend to not approach women we don't know.
Yes, I know that's cowardly, but that's life. So sometimes, we need a little nudge that our advances would be welcomed.

I saw the movie and it was cute. Depressing but cute.

How can a robot find love but I can't???? LOLOLOL

Now I have people over playing video games so I'll be on later!!!!

But Tink...Wall-E had to wait.

...........................................700 YEARS

besiderself

I didn't think it was possible, but I'm even more depressed now.

Ok, haven't seen the movie yet (tomorrow is payday!) but Wall-E could find love because... the writer decided it would happen. The little guy is nothing more than the stroke of a pen (brought to apparent life by some incredibly talented folks with some really cool technology). It only takes another stroke of the pen for him to find love. So there's little point in getting down on ourselves in comparison.

Our "Writer" has blessed us with this free-will thingy, something no screenwriter has to contend with. So although His purposes for all of us are still guaranteed to be accomplished, it's a little more complicated because of that. (We tend to tangle up the plot threads but good!)

That said, I'm probably gonna end up feeling the same way when I see the movie.

Well...

As long as you guys are going to take it so seriously (and I DO understand the feeling, however illogical it is, Dr. Spock)

Allow me to encourage you with this thought:

Scripture tells us that Our Maker "knows our frame; He knows we are dust". IOW, He knows just how long each one of us has on earth. If we are meant to find love, He will make sure we do not find it too late...

In addition, WE do not "find" love. God brings it. God orchestrates it. Not always to our specifications or timeline, but if it is His will, then we will not miss it.

Heading off to church...

Kimberly - it's really okay! I am feeling so great today, it's not even funny. I have such a freedom in Christ today - freedom I've never felt before - freedom to do what God wants me to do - freedom to be who *I* am in Christ. It's glorious!

gee.....can ya send some of that my way? cuz i'm definitely not feeling it. i've had 2 conversations with my ex-man since friday...and i'm really doubting myself right now. "glorious" is 100% not on my list of "feelin it" today. (lol)

True, but that only works when the guy WANTS to make advances. How do WE know when to give you guys a nudge? It's not easy when you guys run for the hills every time we smile at ya!!! But this is a topic for another thread... forgive me.

(((((Kimberly))))) I wish I could send it to ya! But remember, "All glorious is the princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold." (Ps. 45:13). And you are a child of the King! Well, you need to hang out in situations where you get to know people well enough to know these details (work, church, recreational club..like an art club). If you want to meet people on the spot, you have to get up the courage to just ask.

Good morning everyone! Looks like this will be a hot, humid and cloudy day. Its great to be home again but of course that means getting back into the grind of things, too.

Thanks for the birthday greetings everyone.

I gave myself a present by taking a trip to Tennessee to meet some of the SG people. There were 22 of us there counting spouses and children.

I had some good BBQ and a humongous piece of German chocolate cake that someone bought for me. Then I went to my first SG concert. It was an interesting experience for this old folk rocker (my favorite type of music).

I flew back yesterday (I posted my experience in my PFY thread)

To comment on to the topic of yesterday. I am now 58 years old. I have never been married and I do no know if I will ever be. But I intend to enjoy everything God gives me and enjoy life. This trip this weekend and the Singles GT earlier in the month were opportunities that arouse and I took advantage of them to meet some people from the threads, go to some country I have not been to before and to enjoy myself.
