If Obama gets elected in November, I will not:

1. Move to France.

2. Move to Canada.

3. Scream at the top of my lungs that the election was stolen.


I may, however, crank-call Michael Moore and/or Alec Baldwin. [8D]

I've resigned myself to the fact Obama will be the next President.
Am I happy about that? Not really.
Will I throw a tantrum? No, that's silly.lol.
It's not like the world is going to stop or anything.hehe.

America has been begging and crying for a secular messiah for a quite a while now (since they obviously have no use for the real One). In five months they'll get their wish. It's going to be an interesting four years...and maybe a cluster foxtrot presidency like Obama's is just what we need to wake us all up.

Don't give up hope so fast -- McCain is still doing fine. Eventually folks will realize that Obama has no real experience and has the same old-school liberal ideas.

I also think most Americans have more common sense than to pick a liberal Democrat for President when Dems have a large majority in Congress.

Remember most of 2000 and 2004 it looked like the Dem would win, but the Rep pulled through. Clinton won in 1992 and 1996 because of Perot's strong showing. Unless Bob Barr gets a lot of support, I think McCain will pull through.

I remember it all too well. I will never forget when Tom Brokow said that John Kerry was "going out to seal the deal"..

Shortly thereafter, Kerry was back windsurfing instead of heading to the White House[8D]

Since when did McCain become a conservative?[8|] He asked John Kerry in 2004 if he could be his running mate but was turned down. I am voting for Bob Barr. I cannot in good conscience vote for McCain, who I know will be a terrible president. If Bob Barr wins then the country will move in the right direction. If not but enough people vote for him then it will send a message to the Republican party.

Except that McCain supports the REAL ID Act, wihich will put RFID chips into ID cards, so that you can be tracked as well as the PATRIOT ACT.

It's a bit early to throw in the towel. Maybe you should take a lesson from Hillary and battle on until the numbers say otherwise. McLobby and Obummer are in a statistical tie in the popular vote. The early electoral estimates as close enough to go either way.

and, those who want to limit the participation by U.S. servicemen serving overseas.....

By "limit participation by the poor"....are you referring to the proposed "requirement" that someone positively IDENTIFY themselves with a driver's license or State issued ID before voting?
WHY on earth, am i allowed to go in to vote, and simply tell the guy, "My name is _____. And, iam here to vote"....and, that's it???? I could vote ALL DAY LONG....for, they have no idea who I really am....
You can't even buy cough/cold medicine today without an ID!!!!!

Now, explain to me WHY that is such a bad idea?

not "anti-immigration"......but anti-ILLEGAL immigration....

If we don't want to vote for a socialist/marxist.....and, then, don't want to vote for someone who isn't as conservative as we would like (McCain)....

what other VIABLE alternative is there? (emphasis on VIABLE)....

McCain has a huge opportunity to "redeem" himself, when it comes time to pick a running mate....hopefully, he'll pick a solid-conservative....at least, that person would have a 'head start' on the next time around....

Nothing unusual about that. If I only voted for the guy who I agreed with all the time, I'd have to write myself on the ballot.

All I'm saying is that this attitude is akin to voting for somebody because of what they are not as opposed to what they stand for. And it speaks volumes as to what people who support McCain think he stands for - not necessarily you 2 but those who voted him into being the GOP nominee.

If conservatives across the land really wanted a conservative, they might have examined his track record on a few important issues. But it's too late now.
