Web Site Offers to Send Post-Rapture E-Mails to Friends 'Left Behind'
YouveBeenLeftBehind.com promises to alert up to 62 people exactly six days after the event that, according to the Bible, signals the beginning of Armageddon, Wired magazine's Threat Level reports.

"You've Been Left Behind gives you one last opportunity to reach your lost family and friends for Christ," the site promoting the service says.

Final e-mails from vanished subscribers will be triggered when three of the site's five Christian staffers fail to log in for six days in a row.

I thought this was joke at first, and thought "who will be left to kick it off". Although they came up with a pretty inventive way to kick off the emails.

No matter your belief on the rapture...it does seem like a waste of money. How about trying to reach your lost friends now?

What are your thoughts?

$40.00 bucks a year....

To me, this is more of a sign of the apocalypse.....[;)]

Well, if Tim LaHaye is to be believed, even folk that rejected the Gospel before the rapture can get saved - and even take the mark of the beast under the right circumstances.

It's what comes from getting one's eschatology from the cheapest and most popular sources.

Does the e-mail make up for a life that does not
witness to those left-behind?

Just another money-maker off a false doctrine.

I agree, and it bothered me how the article stated that the rapture was according to the Bible. I don't want this to end up in another rapture debate, but that is quite a step.

I think it is pretty sad. After all, we all know that the correct way to get someone saved after the rapture is to make a VHS tape NOW giving them the four spiritual laws and an end-times primer. (/end sarcasm) Unfortunately, there are people who are going to go after this thinking it's great... most of them will not have a clue about what eschatology even actually means and the few that do have swollowed the idea that they aren't going to be here for the tribulation so they are going to have to make up for lost time somehow.

If you really believe you are going to vanish before the stuff hits the fan... save the forty bucks and buy your friends a Bible.

Hmm...nobody told them that the Rapture and Second Coming are pretty much simultaneous. After that, its too late. The Wrath of God will have destroyed all non believers.
