The Cabbage Patch Kids were nothing more than a doll. My daughter named hers Joanne. They were great dolls for young toddlers, just beyond baby age.

Our daughter has three of the Webkinz and enjoys the various taskes you can perform. She is also developing an idea of what it means to save 'money' for various purchases in the Webkinz world.

My 4yo daughter just received one in the mail earlier today from the Christian radio station. She won it.

We are new to Webkinz, but I've been looking at their website, and don't have a problem with them.

My children both have Webkinz and Cabbage Patch Kids. There is nothing wrong with either of them. Both have 2 CPK and ds has 5 W and dd has 3 W. The CPK were great for us before they hit there preteens -- they played house and to me that was great since their father and I have been divorced since they were tiny, my ds played as if he was a great and loving father and that made me feel like I was doing a good job raising them--. And also Webkinz have prewritten responses not like it was an open chat.

Also when the CPK 1st came out I was in 5th grade and the only problem that I had was one of the four that I had her head split at the seam and we called the company wanting them to fix her in the CPK hospital but since her head was split if I sent her to them they would send me a death certificate---- I kept Fern Nikki -that was her original name which I liked. I still have her today!!!

My kids are 12 and since I helped them get Webkinz cash they got me one for Mom's Day, just to play the games.

This is the comment I was going to make! The site seems to be really well monitored! My dd enjoys it & gets on the phone with her friends & then the computer too - are they little girls or what?! She has bought most of her webkinz with her own money. Here there are a few stores (like Limited Too) that have certain webkinz, buy one get one free!

We also have some CPK & they are fine too!

This struck me as really creepy though! Did the company actually say that?

That's it exactly. Each animall comes with its own code on a little tag that comes with the animal, in this cute little plastic envelope all hidden from view. You get the animal home then log on to the Webkinz site and enter the code. You get to pick your password and it goes from there.

Blessings,

Garsy

Webkinz is wonderful!

Our son has about 9 of them now, and he has all his friends on there.. It is a VERY safe website!

Hope that helps! :o)

Yes the company said that to my mom and yes that was creepy but I refused to send her to them so, she was my first special needs child for me to take care of. (In some sense)

LOL! I wouldn't have been able to send her in either! I can just hear my dd crying over something like this. Her dolls are her babies & it would break her heart to get a death certificate for one!

WOW!! Gonna have to check out Walgreens, wonder if that's a nationwide thing or just in your area! That's a great deal!
