What do you wear for deodorant/anti-persperant???
I've tried a few different brands and I can't seem to find one that I like that keeps me dry and de-odored.
I currently use Secret Clinical Strength at night and Degree for Women in the morning. But I'm still not able to go the whole day. And instead of smelling like sweaty underarms, my underarms smell like perfumed sweat. It's gross.
I walk at lunchtime, and I know that's partly why I have issues, but I am so embarrassed walking through the building to my desk smelling of sweat. I have a stick in my desk to use when I need it. But I'd rather not have to put deodorant on THREE times/day.
Any ideas???? I'm open to anything at this point.
Any brands or ingredients you find work better than others?
I've tried recently Dove, regular Secret, Adidas for Atheletes, Ladies Speed Stick, and of course the two that I'm wearing now.
In HS/college I used Right Guard spray, but I got tired of smelling like a man.

Ok, I used all that you listed above..then I got freaked out by aluminum and finally broke down and went 'crunchy' and got "Crystal Deodorant"
I don't buy it in a 3 pack, but I LOVE IT.
I tried several other 'natural' deo's with no luck, still sweaty, still stinky. Tom's of Maine was awful, suave was awful, Jason was awful.
The Crystal WILL let you still sweat, BUT you will NOT stink and I honestly don't sweat as much as I did with other products. And there is no 'build up' of stuff in my underarms, my skin always felt weird after having commercial antiperspirants on. My underarms are soo much nicer now, it's kind of weird.
At work, can you store baby wipes and use those to freshen after lunch and then reapply your deo of choice?
Seriously, I love the Crystal stuff - I've gotten a few friends to try it and they are just as hooked as I am. One uses the rock version, that just seems too much for me, but hey, whatever works.
TRY IT!!! Whole foods carries.

I use Dove and it works great for me, but I rarely perspire under my arms anyway.
My daughter had a really bad problem with the perspiration and we finally got something at Walgreens on the recommendation of her dermatologist. It's an antiperspirant you use at night only 2-3 times a week, then use a normal deodorant in the mornings. I can't remember the name of it and she can't either, but they may have it stocked there. It's about $4 and it did the trick for her. She only used the one thing of it and for some reason never had that problem as badly. It's not a typical brand and was something I had never heard of before. I wish I could remember the name.  All I remember is it's in a white box with green lettering.

I wear degree and secret but I still sometimes get sweaty... I tried dove and its nice and helps keep my airpits smooth but doesnt help the sweat.... but sometimes secrets gel kind actually can help me more...

Karlie, is it Drysol?
I had stuff like that for my feet. It worked pretty well.
I use Degree right now, but I also like the Adidas stuff when it's on sale, it's too expensive at regular price.
Can you wash partway through the day before you reapply? I find that sometimes helps.

I use the Ban roll-on kind (unscented) and have never had any problems. I've never found a stick deodorant that I liked, though.
A lot of deodorant brands offer free samples on their websites or walmart.com often has free samples (just search for "free sample" on the site) of different deodorants, so you might be able to get some freebies to try before you buy a full-size version. Just a though.

I use Secret Platinum. I havent found anything that works as good for me as Secret. I like their scents too.

Nope, that's the prescription strength of what she meant, meaning there is a higher percentage of the same active ingredient in there than in the one sold OTC. Lucky me has hyperhydrosis and has experienced all this.
I have used both Drysol and Certain Dri, which is possibly what Karlie meant. You apply them at night and they soak into your skin. It takes about 1 week for it to start working and it will last about 1 week after your last application. It can bleach your clothing so be careful while it's wet. It can also tear your underarm apart if you use it after shaving (especially if you break the skin or have razor burn,) if you use it after waxing, or if you are really sensitive. I'd recommend having hydrocortozone nearby for the first time you use it. I had serious problems like that with the Drysol, but not with the Certain Dri. For me, it was strong enough to work, but not so strong it irritated. The worst thing was having to sit still and naked while it dried (like 5 minutes.) I also have to use it on my feet and hands. It is very drying to the skin, so a good moisturizer is a must if you are going to use it elsewhere besides your underarm area. Certain Dri also has a daytime deo, but I am still using Secret Clinical Strength in the day. I buy them at CVS, so I'm sure most drug stores would have them with the regular deo. You can just bet it won't be at eye level. 
I am obsessed about not using toxic beauty products, but for deo, I make an exception. If I am wet and smelly, I am miserable. I would much rather shorten my lifespan with deo than be miserable for a longer lifetime.

Karlie ... is it Certain Dry???? I've tried that too. I'm allergic to it. Massive rash under my arms.
That's another thing. I often get rashes in my underarms. I've never been able to narrow down the cause, as it happens at random times. I try to wear loose clothes and no deodorant when that happens and it usually goes away. I think an allergy to something, but not sure what.
Brandy ... I'll look into that. Do they sell it at regular grocery stores? Or is it an online thing only???
Maybe I'll look into samples too.
I really hate the feelign of sweaty underarms. And my shirts now have sweat stains. BLECH!!! I thought that was only supposed to happen to men's undershirts!!!!! I am so embarrased by them. I don't buy white t-shirts anymore.

Are you wearing all cotton? Cotton is the most breathable fabric I've found. I also find that a patterned shirt or a lighter solid hides the sweat marks... but lighter solids can show the yellow sweat stains.

Certain Dry didn't work for me.
The Secret Clinical Strength stuff has been helping my 'problem,' but it's not gone yet. The principal is the same as Certain Dry ... apply at night. The package insert even explains how deodorant works (I was so grossed out by that). This stuff doesn't have the ingredient that Certain Dry has that causes hives and such. In fact, it mentions that specifically in the package insert. That's why I continue to use it.

90% of the time I'm wearing cotton. I have shirts of all colors. But even my older dark shirts are starting to show it. What i need is for the fashion trends to change so that the sleeves aren't so tight around the underarms.

You're not using it during the day? I use it during the day. I guess I'm not using it like the instructions say. I've not had any bad things happen, like my clothing becoming discolored or anything.

I use the Secret at night (like it says), and then degree in the morning after my shower. I try to shave my pits at night so that my SEcret goes on a clean surface.

No. It's becasue the t-shirts are so close to my underarms they get more sweat than say a sweatshirt or sweater that has baggier sleeves. My baggy sleeved clothes dont' have seatstains, even though my hygeine is teh same.

Yes, but you have to come to an understanding that some clothing has to be replaced more often, like white t-shirts that fit. I wasn't saying anything about your hygeine. If you have hyperhydrosis, you can't help it, no matter how good your hygeine. You may be able to control it somewhat, but probably not completely.
I found that the soft solids are better than any other regular deo formulas. The clear deos just made a sticky mess. When I go sleeveless, I use the deo and right before I walk out the door, I take a tissue and tissue any excess deo off.

Oh I knew you weren't saying anything about my hygeine. I was just commenting that the style of shirt influences the stains.
I'm gradually replacing my clothes. I'm bored with them. So it's not that big of a deal to replace them for this issue. But in the meantime, it is embarrassing.
I should make a list of the samples I want to try.
Secret Platinum and Crystal Body so far.

My mom has this problem now that she's getting older, and has really sensitive skin (psoriasis), but she can use the Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal. I use it on the weekends and it really does help me with sweating so much. My mom uses it between her ...breasts (are we allowed to say that?) when she's outside (Arizona) so sweat won't stain the bra.
It's made by TCCD International and comes in a roll-on, spray and I think a stick you can moisten. Most Target's carry it, the roll-on is a clear-ish colored bottle with a blue lid, it has no fragrance and no aluminum and it hasn't stained any of my clothes yet.
