A married friend of mine with 6 kids told me about Crosswalk and the singles forum. Her kids like the teen forums. She thought I might enjoy the fellowship.

You were a dispatcher for what?

Universal Studios florida....I dispatched for technical services so anything that broke (a/c, plumbing, rides, etc) got called in to me. But sometimes I'd have to stay until 3:30am even if the park was only open until 9pm (we had techs that worked around the clock).

Now Tina, didn't you used to work for one of those food service dispatchers as well?

Oh yeah, the catering delivery service here in TX. We were too busy for free time though.

It's likely, Mike. Nighttime dispatching I had more time, on occasion.

I meant Bible in a Year. It's on the crosswalk site. I guess I'd be pretty amazing if I could read the Bible in a day..

I found out about (then) Crosswalk (now, Faith Community Network) when I recuperating from a triple surgery at a friends' house (2000). She had found an amazing link on Jesus and told me about it as she was leaving for work one morning.

The article was posted on Crosswalk. After reading it, I meandered around the site and found the forums.

I lurked for about 4 months and then made my first post over in General Topics (which is now PFY / Personally For You).

Almost a year ago I was looking for, I think, a Bible study and found CW. A link on the main page brought me to the singles forum. I posted a reply a few days later.

I heard of CW on Christian radio, to be honest I was hoping to find some local Christian singles activities to go to. I have been doing eharmony and thought I might have better luck meeting people face to face. I am a member of a small church and our singles group is about six or eight people, I tried going to a mega church but felt lost in a sea of humanity.

Anyhoo, it is nice to have found a Christian form to share in, I read over at apologetics.com but they mostly debate theology and I don’t have much to add to their discussions.

Hi Ju-Ju and welcome to forums. BTW, I clicked on your link and it didn't work at all. But when I took the final slash "/" out of the url, it worked just fine. You may want to modifty it.

Also, welcome Scott and Bridgett!

In Canuckistan, forum finds you!

Ok, really... I honestly don't know. I'd been coming to the chat on and off since high school, and I only decided to start hanging around the forums within the past few years. I really don't know how I got here, though.

At least I'm here.

I have this horrendous habit for sticking around here, then disappearing for eons. So people have a tendency to think I'm new.

Such is not the case.

And thanks for the welcome! Always good to be back.
