One of our Mexican pastors is fighting a serious cancer in his stomach. Gastronomical(?) cancer. He's in his early 60's and is a key leader in the Mexican Assemblies of God and very evangelistic and cheerful. He's a worker. I'd sure appreciate your prayers for him and his family. He's taking chemo treaments to shrink the tumor in his stomach that they may remove it surgically.

Father God, I pray with funny_girl for a worker pastor of her church - that the treatment he is receiving help isolate and shrink the size of the tumor to be removed, and that it not be woven into his stomach wall. Give him comfort and freedom from side-effects of the meds.

Lord I lift up this pastor to you.
I pray Lord that you would help the treatments to contain this cancer.
Lord I pray you would give his Drs wisdom and knowledge to treat him accurately.
Be with him Lord and prepare his body for the surgery ahead if it is needed.
I Pray Lord that he will be healed completely of all cancer.
Thank You Lord for all you are doing for him.
I pray Lord he will soon be back preaching in good health sharing your word to many.

We ask for total healing for this pastor from the top of his head to the soles of his feet.
We ask that you give this man peace and joy knowing he is healed.
We ask that you let this man be a living statement of your wondrous works for others to see.
We ask that this man lead others to you Father by your act of healing.

Tomorrow if all is well he'll receive the 3rd of 6 chemo treatments to shrink the tumor. He's lost a lot of weight due to the special bland diet he's on to not feed the tumor and encourage growth. The tumor is shrinking to about the size of your fist. It's intertwined in his intestines. It needs to shrink so they can remove it safely.

What's amazing is that the wife, also a pastor, has always kept a rigorous schedule. She doesn't delegate and is being forced to delegate to her son, also a pastor and one of our dearest friends. Tonight the son was telling me how he's now meeting and sending out others to do the visiting. I think it's pretty neat that through this illness the church is functioning scripturally. It's so hard but so beautiful at the same time.

WOW! DO I HAVE AN UPDATE FOR YOU!!!!

Today, as we got together with this pastor's son, who's a friend of ours, he gave me this report! His father, went in for a test where they put a camera down his throat to look at the tumor. Guess what?????? This is the third one that he's had and the tumor is GONE!!!!! Hallelujah!!!! Thank you for praying as God is hearing the prayers of the saints!!!!!

Praise the Lord, I'm elated!!!!!! To HIM be the Glory!

Praise be to the awesome wonder and Power of God through the grace and healing of his Son, Jesus Christ, By His works we are inspired in our faith and by his Stripes we are healed, halelujah let the praising begin!
