quote:
I watched the sun set and moon begin to glow. I talked to God. I explained about this thread, even though he already knew about it, and how I believe I was hearing his voice but it would be nice if he would confirm it in a way which did not require me hearing his voice in my head..........I asked him if he could make it very clear that I do hear him clearly and know when he is speaking to me. I may not be interpreting this right....so, forgive me and correct me if i'm wrong: I am a little concerned. Although from this encounter you learned that this man was not an example of God speaking, I hope that you are not seeing this as a way that God showed you the difference between his voice and the enemies. I don't believe that our loving God would put you in danger to make this point. Nevertheless, God kept you and protected you. I often remember the scripture that says the enemy is like a thief in the night. And, for those of us who are really seeking God...we are the targets the enemy tries to get. The more powerful our lives become in God, the more distractions and weapons the enemy throws at us to tear us down. But no weapon formed against us will prosper. Did you pray out loud? When we pray out loud, God hears us but I also think so does the enemy (knowing that only God knows the words in our hearts). This is why when we pray, we have the authority to speak out against sickness, danger, evil. The enemy has to flee when we speak in the authority of Christ. Thus, the enemy hears... Our praise and worship confuses the enemy, but we also have to use wisdom. I feel that the enemy was trying to be opportunistic and set you up in this deception. quote:
Walking from the parking lot to the beach I passed a trail head. A man was exiting the trail. Something about him, I don't know what, made me very uncomfortable. He said hi, I responded but was unnerved I really feel that the first uneasiness you had when you arrived at the beach was the first sign of Wisdom. You may have not heard the voice from God at that time, but what you saw brought the discomfort. Can I ask, aside from the voice we hear...can God speak to us through what he allows us to see? I myself am very visual, and God shows me things and patterns through what I physically see. God is right here with us and all around us. He speaks to us, and he also shows us things. I pray that you are also listening with your eyes. quote:
Because even though I felt he was dangerous I felt safe and for reason I didn't think running was the answer. Plus there was something about him which draw me in...made me want to stay.........almost intoxicating. A word of caution here. Remembe the story of Tamar (2 Samuel 13). She thought she would feel safe around her own brother, but trouble abrupted. I hope you are not put this kind of situation again....honestly, I would of gave him the phone number to a church. Be careful and I hope you don't call him. Take Care.
