Got the final papers today...asked for prayer in the prayer threads....but beyond today...I have no clue what to do. I was married for almost 16 years. I feel so lost. I am a Christian and I know God has bigger and better plans for me because the situation was not a healhty one to begin with, but losing that physical being and presence when you are such an open,honest and feeling person is tough. My dog does not snore loud enough:)

I have asked God to hold me and comfort me at night and I believe it helps, but I want physical affection (and no I don't mean that kind)...I just miss the physical person...any thoughts or ideas on how to get through this lonliness? I NEED A HUG!!!!!!!

The only thing that helps me thru things not what your going thru but is what it seems you are doing and that is talking to the holy spirit and praying!

I really got into in-home care and baby sitting/child care after I was divorced.
It really helped. There are single moms out there who could use an evening baby sitter just so they can get a few hours of free time.

It was nice to feel needed and children are very huggable!

I know what that feels like because I was separated from my husband for about a year. It was a very lonely time and I reached out to a friend that I ran into at church. We had a couple of breakfast dates together after church. Like you, all I really wanted was affection and someone to feel emotionally close to. That was very dangerous and I made a huge mistake by allowing my needs to be met by this man. I guess what I'm trying to say is; your feelings are normal, but don't let Satan lead you into a bad situation. You are in a vulnerable state and I encourage you to be cautious with any relationships of the opposite sex.

Surround yourself with other people (same sex) from the church - Don't just get busy with things to do, as many do, but to accept this time as a time that God has allowed into your life, possibly even to speak to you or show His love to you. This is easier said, than done, I understand. One day at a time.
