apparently you have never been informed of Austin's motto.
KEEP AUSTIN WEIRD!!
As if that were not enough, the traffic and traffic control in Austin is very bad.
Musicians and artists love Austin...musicians and artists of ALL KINDS. South 6th street is VERY skeery, I hear, on the weekends...
And I'm a country girl born and bred...

Hmmm, well I have heard/read that affluent professionals who can live in such cities as New York, Boston, San Francisco, Seattle, etc. have this desire to live in Austin and so they choose there instead.

6th Street has a great pizza place. You can walk right up and get a delicious slice for very cheap!
