Hi! This is my very first post. Just been readin' mostly till now.

Gotta know, what is a "GT" anyway?

GT stands for Get Together. It's an event where people from these forums get together in real life. They just had one in Indiana last week.

Oh, and welcome to the forums! Check out the intro thread at the top and say hello!

A Virtual Get Together- a seemingly new concept on CW, is the same plan, but without the price of gas...

Robb- Kuku already has electronics. Perhaps you can specialize in a certain section of electronics? The point is to not be in the same place

*shrug*

If it did it happened before I moved here. You are more than welcome to not join us in the GT if you don't want to go to a discount store. Maybe we'll do something like eat at the same restaurant or something like that.

Nahh, we could share. I could be in the DVD section and you could be someplace else. (I usually limit my electronics purchases in Wal-Mart to small things.)

I don't like shopping at Wal-Mart. But it's probably one of the few stores that we all have near us. Restaraunts could work too, but they would probably have to be like McDonalds's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.....

We could all synchronize our watches, and then ALL OF US should order a QUARTER POUNDER at the exact same time on the same day. Wonder if we could get enough people from all over to do that and make Mickey D's wonder what's going on!!!!!!!!

I like to order cheeseburgers-hold the cheese. And then just watch the confused look on their faces. Hmmm....I think I'll go do that in a little bit after I finish catching up on the forums.

I'd pick Burger King or Wendy's (one of my faves). McDonald's supports the gay agenda and I'm not going to knowingly spend my money at places that are against families/morality... (see the AFA site--www.afa.net-- if you want more info on that)

As for WalMart, I could hang out in the automotive dept - I used to work the automotive dept at Kmart when I was in high school. It was so funny when i could answer a question that the guys couldn't. LOL

Sadly, I don't really pay much attention to what companies support what. I doubt I would find many companies that support Christian morals and values, so I don't bother to look. I fear that if I check it out, I won't have anywhere left to shop.

Nah, I already have the yard and garden section claimed.

And besides, I don't think I would look good in Lingerie.

Ditto. I have to watch every penny I spend and unfortunately can't afford to boycott.

1-But could we all be there at the exact same time though, and yeah do they really know what they are doing sometimes as well? It reminds me of a situation that happened quite a few years ago. At South Station in Boston there is both a McDonalds and just next to the station within a block a U.S. Post Office as well. At the post office, they have vending machines for stamps that only dispense silver dollar coins in change.

Well, one day I went to the post office and bought stamps, received all my change in silver dollars and then proceeded to the McDonalds inside South Station instead. Upon paying the teenage casheir looks at me with a weird look like why are you giving me all quarters? I just gave her this look and said "those are silver dollars!"

Now I can understand her not knowing that if had been any other Mickey D's, but considering its such close proximity to the Post Office I was dumbfounded instead. Ok, off my rant here.

2-Comedian Steve Geyer mentioned the same thing once as well.
