What books do all of you think are considered Recommendable ‘classics’ and a "must-reads" for anyone? Here are a hand full that come to mind to me that I personally would recommend: How Now Shall We Live? by Charles Colson Run Baby, Run!by Nicky Cruz Eternity in Their Hearts by Don Richardson Heavenly Man by Brother Yun "Desiring God" by John Piper "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" by Jonathan Edwards (book of the sermon) Confessions by: St. Augustine of Hippo The Normal Christian Life by: Watchman Nee The Knowledge of the Holy by: A.W. Tozer Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan Holiness by J.C. Ryle The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis (and while it is not as old as some of these, must now be included as a classic.) The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Bonhoeffer Religious Affections by John Edwards Sovereign Grace by Dwight L. Moody The Holiness of God by R.C. Sproul The Cross and the Switchblade by David Wilkerson God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom "The Problem of Pain" by C.S. Lewis "Surprised by Suffering" by R.C. Sproul "A Grief Observed" by C.S. Lewis "Humility" by C.J. Mahaney "Altogether Lovely" by Jonathan Edwards
