ORIGINAL: OneOfHisJewels Women, do you care if a guy is taller than you? Girls, do you care if a guy is younger than you? For both, how do you feel about large age differences in either direction? Funny story: (For background, I am 33, my mom is 54, and the Cute Guy in question is 47 or thereabouts.) So, there was this Cute Guy (CG) at work. I pined and pined and one day mentioned him to my mom. I don't even remember why. So I guess my description of him caught her fancy, because she said, 'how old is he?' and when I told her, she said, 'well, then, give him MY number, because he's in my range!' and I said, 'Mom, he's in MY range!' and she said, 'Does it bother you at all that our ranges overlap?'[sm=icon_smile_yikes.gif] Height--well, I am only five foot three and change, so it is a rare man who is shorter than I am...and I have never been attracted to one. Doesn't mean I couldn't be, just means I never have been. Age--the last guy I dated (um...seven years ago--yikes!) was 16 years older than I am. He was still not mature enough. [sm=icon_smile_idea.gif]I should see if my granddaddy has any single friends...no, wait. It isn't age, after all, but maturity. Interestingly, the older I get, the better younger guys look! LOL, but in general I like older men. That's just what I have noticed, though, and a lot of it has to do with wanting a man who is responsible, well-grounded, a little calmer than the young guys, etc. So, large age differences would be a no on the younger side, and a yes on the older side, up to about 15 years or so.
